🔧 How to Enable This Feature
This feature is optional and controlled by venue admins.
To turn it on:
- Go to People > Tier and Membership
- Enable the Mobile Verification flag
- Then go to System Admin > App Config
- Enable Login via OTP

When this feature is active:
- Members verify their mobile number during sign-up.
- If they sign out, they can log back in using just their mobile number + OTP — no password required.
- This creates a seamless login experience while keeping accounts secure.
It’s fast, easy, and ideal for users who forget passwords or prefer not to manage them.
🔁 Rate Limits & Login Blocking
To prevent abuse:
- Members can only request an OTP up to 5 times per hour.
- If they exceed this limit, they’ll be blocked from requesting another OTP or logging in for 1 hour.
This ensures fair use of the SMS service and reduces spam or automated attacks.
🔍 How It Works (Step-by-Step)
During Sign-Up:
- Member enters their mobile number, Email and other details.
- An OTP (One-Time Password) is sent via an SMS.
- They must enter the OTP to verify their number and complete sign-up.
- Once verified they need to confirm the email they have entered as well to start using the application.
When Updating Mobile Number Later:
- A new OTP is sent to the updated number.
- The number must be verified before it's saved.
During Login (if enabled):
- Member enters mobile number.
- Receives OTP
- Enters code to log in instantly — no need for password.
