3 | App Config | App Design

This article will outline the App Design tab located in App Config settings. This section allows users to configure the general settings on the Myplace app Prerequisites To access and edit the "Tab" setting, the following Role Privileges will need to be enabled Roles "Roles Maintenance" panel Privilege Flags: "App Config App Design  1. App Name A title for the Myplace app 2. App Default Website When a link is not working, the default website will be used instead.

This section allows users to configure the general settings on the Myplace app

Prerequisites

  • To access and edit the "Tab" setting, the following Role Privileges will need to be enabled
    • Roles "Roles Maintenance" panel
      • Privilege Flags: "App Config


App Design 



1. App Name

A title for the Myplace app



2. App Default Website

When a link is not working, the default website will be used instead.

Input a website of choice, this could be the business website. It should be in a similar format to: https://example.com.au/



3. Text Font

This field sets the text font to be used for every screen within the app.

There are six options to choose from:

  • Roboto Slab
  • Open Sans
  • Poppins
  • Playfair Display
  • Ninito
  • Oxygen



4. Input Fields & Buttons Style

This field affects the shape of all buttons on the app. it consists of a dropdown containing two options; rectangle and round.

5. Region

This contains a dropdown list with all regions supported by Myplace. The chosen option will change the currency symbol and ABN equivalents used by this region and apply it to the app, back panel and invoices

E.g.

Currency

  • Australia and US - $
  • UK - £

ABN equivalent 

  • Australia - ABN 
  • UK and USA - VAT



6. Onboarding Flow

This feature is used to select the flow that admin would like when onboarding members. Currently only standard onboarding is available, which is onboarding using the default signup, match account and login features of Myplace.



7. General Settings

This consists of several toggles that enable/disable features.


Welcome Instructions

ON (Blue): Text and gallery will appear on the first screen of the app


OFF (Red): Text and gallery will not appear and this section will be left blank



Show Profile On Side Drawer

ON (Blue): At the top of the side drawers the profile picture, name and a button to move profile screen can be seen 



OFF (Red): At the top of the side drawers there will be a blank section



Show Map

ON (Blue): Map will appear on the location screen when a user expands a location



OFF (Red): Map will not appear on the locations screen when user expands a location



Show Logo On Background Image

ON (Blue): Logo will appear on the first screen of the app



OFF (Red): Logo will not appear on first screen of app and will be blank for this area



Align Sub Header Title To Left

ON (Blue): All headers on sub screens will align to left of screen



OFF (Red): All heders on sub screens will be centre to the middle of screen


Voucher Auto Scroll

When voucher card component is present on the homepage, enabling this toggle will automatically cause the voucher card component to swipe through each voucher within the members account.


Enable Save To Mobile Wallet

Allows members to save member card, vouchers and tickets to their google or apple wallets. When enabled, a button will appear under each relevant item, that allows the user to add them to the mobile wallet.

Note: The setup for this feature requires some files and credentials that can be obtained through Myplace technical support 


        

Enable Offline Screen

When active, the app will display the members profile when there is not network connection. In this offline profile, members can view their name, profile image, member barcode and member number. Once connection is re-established, members can click the try again button to reconnect

When inactive, the offline mode will only display a text message outlining that network connection has been lost and will not show any member information. Once connection is re-established, members can click the try again button to reconnect


Location-Based Venue Update

This feature is used to automatically update a users preferred venue to the closest venue near their current location. It allows members to view venue specific information such as what's on and stamp cards. It will trigger when they reload the app, signup, match account or login.


When active, this allows the system to automatically update the users preferred venue. They will need to accept location permissions on the app before this feature is able to work as intended on their device. If location permission is decline then the users preferred venue will not be change when the triggers occur.

When inactive, the preferred venues will not automatically update and members will always have their manually selected venue.


NOTE:  Show map flag will automatically be enabled, as this flag decides if location permission is to be asked within the app



Bypass Email Verification


This functionality enables members to update their email addresses without undergoing verification via a email link.



Activate Custom Field Barcode


This functionality replaces standard barcodes with values retrieved from a designated custom field.

Once activated, a new dropdown menu titled 'Custom Field for Barcode' will appear on the left-hand side. This menu will contain all custom fields configured in Bepoz as options. Users will be required to select an option which uses the value to generate the barcode.



Retrieve Active Vouchers Only


This feature ensures that only active vouchers are fetched from Bepoz, rather than retrieving all vouchers. Within the app, the vouchers screen will no longer display labels for both active and used vouchers. Instead, it will only display active member vouchers. In case this feature doesn't function as expected, please contact support, as it relies on the presence of the 'Voucher Individual Optimize' stored procedure.
