📄Aristocrat S7000 And Rest API Interface Setups
This article covers Aristocrat System 7000 CALink setups for integration with Bepoz.
Steps Quick Links
Overview
- System 7000 run on an Oracle Database
- This means that the Windows computer running Bepoz (at least CALink) must have both network access to the Aristocrat Server and also the Oracle client access drivers loaded and configured
- There are configurations required on the Client and once followed, you will have a Windows Client computer that has correctly configured tnsnames.ora file that connects successfully to the Oracle host
Prerequisites
- For an operator to be able to set up the interface with Aristocrat, the following privileges must be enabled
- Main Tab (General Settings) - Venue Maintenance
- All 'System Setup' Flags
- Member CALink MUST be authorised at the Venue [and Head Office - if Multi-Venue]
There are 2 types of CALink Integration to Aristocrat, S7000 and S7000 Rest API
Aristocrat should Email the required details. We need the IP and port for the oracle Setup. The
other details are for CALink setup.
Step 1 - Install Oracle Client
Download, to the Venue to be setup with CALink only, and unzip the Oracle client 64bit here:
Run As and Install the Oracle Client as Administrator
Click Yes
Click Next
Click Next
Update the Paths as required.
Click Next
Click Finish.
Click Close
Open the file called tnsnames.ora with notepad and update the IP address and Port [provided by Aristocrat.]
Save then Copy the file.
Navigate to ..\App\Product\11.2.0\Client_1\Network\Admin and paste the updated
tnsnames.ora file there. [or the correct path to the ...\Network\Admin folder]
Note: The Client may be _1, _2, _3 depending how many times its been installed.
Step 2 - Setup ODBC
Open Control panel>>Admin Tools [Windows Tools] and open ODBC Data Sources [64-Bit]
Click the System DSN tab.
Click Add
Find the Oracle Client Home [as highlighted below] and click Finish
NOTE: if the tnsnames.ora file was placed correctly the TNS Service name dropdown should populate
Click Test Connection and enter POSCON as the password
Step 3 - Setup CALink
Open CALink and set S7000 as the type.
The DSN [data source name] should be S7S as ODBC config.
Aristocrat should provide the following other details:
Points Type Names [Multiple Names in Multiple Buckets set in Points Type Setup – See below]
Tiering name [If they have Tiered members (Usually ‘Tiering’]
Click OK to Save.
If the Server Type is S7000_rest set as below:
The highlighted details will be provided by Aristocrat
Points Type Setup
- Point Type lets the S7000 Customer setup and use multiple points buckets when Paying by Points, if they have it configured in S7000.
- Only available in Bepoz Version 4.7+
To configure click Points type Setup.
- Aristocrat Will Provide the Names that Match the Points Bucket names.
Example:
NOTE: The Default will always be the Earn bucket through Bepoz
Step 4 - Setup Bepoz
Venue settings
Standard Points settings for Aristocrat
External Links Config.
If they have Tiered members then Use Tiering=On
If they use PointType Vouchers then Get PointType Vouchers should be On. [This feature converts other Points Buckets toBepoz Vouchers – used before Split Points Buckets was enabled.]
Split Points Buckets = On if they have Multiple Point Buckets configured.
Card Prefix
Example. The Prefix will be as per scan Diagnostics.
Swipe Cards to create/update accounts.
With Update Bepoz Account on [venue setting] the accounts will be pulled from S7000 [API call] into Bepoz and created or updated in the correct Account Group with Correct Settings and Group settings applied.
Once the Accounts are created, setup the groups/Tiers with the correct Settings.
Example:
EGM Lookup [also called Card In]
This gives the customer the ability to use the Member cards while its still plugged in thepokie machine rather than take it out and go to the bar, etc.
- It needs to be activated by S7000
- The Bepoz version should be 4.5+
NOTE: There is no CALINK setting for this
You will need to add the EGM lookup Function to the Account panel and other places it may be
used [table etc]
Restart Smart Controller
Refresh Keymaps and Send the Database to All Tills [Send a Full Database, if Multi-Venue and restart the Venue Smart Controller]
Restart All Tills then contact the Customer to Test
