3 | Assembly Terminal SmartPOS Pairing Process
This article is designed to assist users with the pairing process of a new Assembly EFTPOS device with SmartPOS.
- After adding the EFTPOS in BackOffice, SmartPOS will need to be paired with the BackOffice Device as well as the physical EFTPOS device
- This is a one-time process that will not need to be completed again unless the physical EFTPOS device is unpaired
- This includes a few steps which occur when SmartPOS initialises:
- Once the device has been properly set up in the Backoffice; a prompt will be displayed when operators start the SmartPOS
- This prompt will ask operators if they want to pair to Assembly
NO will start the SmartPOS without Assembly Pairing
YES will open a window for operators to start pairing the device with SmartPOS
Here, operators are required to add the EFTPOS-specific serial number and IP address as provided by the EFTPOS device
Click on the Pair button once the EFTPOS-specific Serial Number and IP Address have been added
Select OK and SmartPOS will start pairing to the device
A code will be produced which is required to be verified on both terminals
Once verified, the devices will be paired
This is a one-time process; once the device is paired, SmartPOS will be connected to Assembly until the 'Unpair' button is clicked on the device
After the pairing is complete, operators can login to SmartPOS and use use Assembly for transaction payments
