📄How To Setup The Backoffice To Print A Scheduled Report
This article covers an overview of the Backoffice Printing and Scheduled Job Setup for printing PDF reports rather than email.
Prerequisites
- Access to the Bepoz Server Workstation
- To access Workstation Settings, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled
- Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab
- System Setup: "Access Venue, Stores & Tills" Flag
- System Setup: "Maintain Venue, Stores & Tills" Flag

BackOffice Workstation Printing Setup
PDF Preview CmdLine

This is the Window Command that will be used to open the PDF File after it is created

The Characters "%1" will be substituted with the PDF filename

If this is Blank, the Default Windows PDF application will start
Option2 Name
- This is the second PDF Print option
- This will allow for the PDF File that is created to be opened by another application
- This is be used for directly printing the PDF without displaying the PDF
- This may also be a command file for copying the PDF report to another location
Eg. PDF PrintOut.
CmdLine
- This is the Window Command that will be used to open the PDF File after it is created
- The Characters "%1" will be substituted with the PDF filename
- If this is Blank, the Default Windows PDF application will start
E.g. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe /t "%1" "HP Color LaserJet CP1215"
In the example above, is the path to the Adobe PDF Reader exe, the instruction to Print and the A4 Windows Printer Name, all in Quotes
Report & Export Dir

The default location is a Reports Directory located under the Bepoz data directory as set for this Workstation
E.g C:\Bepoz\Data\Reports
Scheduled Job Setup
- Under System Setup select Scheduled Jobs
- Click Add Job to create a new job
- Setup the Job as Below:
Just change:
- The Schedules for the date and time you need the report to print out.
- The Global Saved Reports from the drop down
- The Path to Save Files, if not left as default.
- The Option: field to make sure its set to Option2 CmdLine, which will use the Backoffice Printing settings.
Then expect your selected reports printed out at the scheduled time.
