.Net 4.8 install troubleshooting & Windows Update Reset
Installing .net 4.8 on POS machines can fail for a number of reasons. There are a few troubleshooting steps below to assist with this, but if all of these fail, the only realistic fix will be re-imaging the machine, in the last resort.
Instructions

Run this CMD at command prompt or via ScreenConnect commands to verify current installed version of .net: reg query "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\full" /v version

If Bepoz 4.7.3 has been installed prior to .net being updated, do not press yes on the prompt 'Do you want to install .net 4.8'

Initially try to install using the .net web installer as it will download all the latest updates

Else download to the machine the offline x64/x86 all OS installer

If still failing, ensure all windows updates are downloaded and installed with a reboot

If errors in windows update, can try this windows update reset tool and work through the steps top to bottom

If all of those have failed, the only remaining option is to reimage the machine with a fresh install of windows
