6 | Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab

This article covers the Operation Maintenace "General" Tab and its configuration options.

This tab contains some basic, general settings which control if and how an Operator can use BackOffice.

Some of the privilege flags control which BackOffice components they will have the ability to see and/or access.

Drop-down settings control how lists in BackOffice will be displayed and which Venues an Operator can access throughout Bepoz.

Prerequisites

To access and edit Operators, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled:

To enable or disable all of the flags within a section with one click, simply click on the flag next to the section heading; i.e., to enable all of the General Settings flags at once - enable the flag next to 'General Settings'

General Settings & Integration Settings

Configuration Option	Description	Visual/s (if applicable)
Use BackOffice	This designates whether or not the Operator can log in to the BackOffice software If the flag is enabled, the Operator can log in to BackOffice
Use BackOffice Compact Mode	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will only have access to the features enabled, and all other features will be hidden from view The image shows BackOffice when only Stock Control functions are enabled for an Operator in Compact Mode
Maintain Table Maps & Sets	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to Add, Edit, and Delete TableMaps & Sets in BackOffice and within SmartPOS
BackOffice Membership Only	If Membership Only is set up on the system, BackOffice is in a special "doorman" mode requiring Membership for access Enabling this flag in a Membership Only system allows access to BackOffice Screen Menu options This flag overrides a number of the other flags; when Membership Only is enabled, a number of features are stripped away in BackOffice for Operators without this flag enabled If this flag is disabled in a Membership Only system, the Operator can still log in to BackOffice, but will not have access to Screen Menu options
View Keylogs	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to view Till Keylogs KeyLogs will show a record of all SmartPOS Workstation activity for a selected set of parameters
Gaming Functions	If this flag is enabled, the Operator can perform gaming functions on SmartPOS Workstations This is only relevant for certain regions
Default Tree Mode drop-down	This will set a default mode for how the Operator views Tree Lists in BackOffice Use the drop-down selector to choose from Default, Full Tree, List Only, or Hide List
Allowed Venues drop-down	Use the drop-down to choose either All Venues or a specific Venue, Venue Group, or Venue Set If a specific Venue, Venue Group, or Venue Set is selected, the Operator will only be able to login to SmartPOS Workstations and BackOffice within their selected Venue/s Unless an Operator has All Venues selected, they will not have access to Venue Groups / Venue Sets or Global Settings When logged into BackOffice, the Venue, Stores & Tills list will only show Venues, etc. that match an Operators' Allowed Venues
Maintain Accounting Link	When this flag is enabled, an Operator will be able to view the Accounting Link menu in BackOffice and any available Accounting Link integrations
Maintain Integrations	If this flag is enabled for an Operator, they'll have the ability to access and maintain Integration setups
Online App Admin	This flag, if ticked on, will enable the access to the 'Online App' Tabs where operators can perform various application functions

Operational Setup

Maintain Misc. Settings	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access Misc. Settings in BackOffice which can found in the Operational Setup menu Setup functions such as currency rates and customer screen messages can be configured here
Maintain Prerequisites	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access Prerequisites settings on BackOffice Creating conditions for selling products can be created and configured within these Options
Maintain Clocking Setup	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access Clocking Setup in BackOffice Operators are able to set up different Clocking Jobs within their Venue
Maintain Images	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access Images in BackOffice Allows Operators to maintain Images
Maintain Printer Formats	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access Printer Formats in BackOffice
Maintain Printer Profiles	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access Printer Profiles in BackOffice Operators are able to define Printer sets that Products will be printed to
Maintain Alerts & Contacts	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access Alerts & Contacts in BackOffice Operators are able to create Alerts and be sent automatically
Maintain Weekly Schedule	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access Weekly Schedule in BackOffice Options such as Price Number Scheduling, Keysets, and Points Percentage changes can be made here
Maintain Pricing Schedule	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access Pricing Schedules

System Setup

Access Venue, Stores & Tills	The Operator is able to access all configurations within these options
Maintain Venue, Stores & Tills	This Operator can edit setups in Venue, Stores & Tills
Maintain Global Settings	The Operator can access and modify setups in Global Settings
Maintain Venue Groups / Venue Sets	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access the Venue Groups / Venue Sets Menu Allows Operators to maintain the Venues in the Venue Groups and Venue Sets for reporting and privileges
Maintain Till Function Maps	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access and maintain Till Function Maps Operators are able to Create, Edit and Assign Custom Function button layouts for the Tills
Maintain Custom Audits	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access the Custom Audits Menu Operators are able to generate audits based on Till Transaction Types
Maintain Scheduled Jobs	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access the Scheduled Jobs Menu The Operator is able to set up Scheduled Jobs to run within SmartController
Maintain Supplier Comms	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access the Supplier Comms Menu Operators are able to set up Electronic Purchase Orders and receiving invoices with suppliers
Maintain Points Profiles	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access the Points Profiles Menu Operators are able to Set Points Earn percentages by Product Sorts or Types
Maintain Card Prefixes	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access the Card Prefixes Menu
Maintain Printer Definitions	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access the Printer Definitions Menu
Maintain Data Rules	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access the Data Rules Menu Operators can maintain Rules for mandatory fields when editing Accounts, Operators, etc.
Maintain External Payments	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access the External Payments Menu Operators can maintain the External Payments definitions
Maintain Smart KDS	If this flag is enabled, the Operator is able to access & maintain SmartKDS Kitchen Display Device Setup
