Release Notes | 4.8.1.1

 

Overview

Version 4.8 has been delivered differently from past releases. Instead of going straight to a public release, we chose a staged rollout to pilot sites first. This gave us tighter control over the release and allowed us to identify and resolve business-critical issues with a smaller group of customers before going public.

Through this phased approach, we produced several pilot builds: 4.8.0.0, 4.8.0.1, 4.8.0.2, 4.8.0.3, 4.8.0.4 and 4.8.1, none of which were made public. Each iteration contained targeted fixes and refinements based on real-world use at pilot venues.

Now, with 4.8.1.1, we are releasing the first public-ready version of the Fortuna project. This build includes the new functionality developed throughout the 4.8 series, along with stability and workflow improvements proven in the pilot program.

Key Enhancements in 4.8.1.1

🌟New Interfaces🌟

  • Intercard Integration
    Customers can now top up arcade cards via SmartPos with our new Intercard interface.

  • NZESL Integration (Electronic Shelf Labels)
    Full integration with NZESL electronic shelf labels is now available, following a pilot.

    A new TransQ device for OnTap Data, delivers transactional information directly to the platform.

Pilot Version Highlights (Pre-Release Work)

4.8.0.0

  • Over 180 individual work items completed, resolving issues across all Bepoz applications and several interfaces

  •  🌟Multi Table Support 🌟

    • Multi Table Ordering: Users can add products to the same table simultaneously, supporting both regular and Bistro Tables.

    • Patron Numbers: A new feature for Bistro Tables that enables monitoring of which patron is placing an order at each table.

    • Updated UI: Clarity on which mode is being used, with color-coded indicators (GREEN for Master Mode, BLUE for Order Entry Mode).

  • 🌟 Cash Discounting Functionality 🌟

    • A global setting enabling venues to offer discounted rates for cash payments. SmartPause now displays dual balances to make discounts clear.

  • 🌟 Aged Debtors & Packing Slips 🌟

    • New aged debtors functionality allows payments to be mapped to charges for account holders. Users can print statements with standard aging buckets (Current, 30, 60, 90 days).

  • 🌟 Table Waiter Changes (US Market) 🌟

  • 🌟 Support for Multiple Till Extensions 🌟

  • Stock Module Enhancements

  • Accounts Flow is now integrated directly into the Back Office supplier comms module, simplifying workflows. (Flow downloader will continue to work, this has not been depracated)

4.8.0.1 (Hotfix)

  • Hotfix release addressing three issues around printing and condiments


4.8.0.2 (Hotfix)

  • Fixes to Bistro workflows and printing.

  • Additional workflow fixes.

4.8.0.3 (Hotfix)

  • Fix for Bistro tables failing to prompt for receipt when close and print was chosen

  • Support added for partially approved EFTPOS payments in Adyen.

4.8.0.4 (Hotfix)

  • Fix for reported slowness when accessing tables in SmartPOS
