How do I fix a wPay pinpad producing "Bank Unavailable" or "Certificate Expired" error
A small amount of WPAY terminals are experiencing problems with the auto-renewal of digital certificates, which is supposed to occur 28 days before expiry.
WPAY terminals are experiencing problems with the auto-renewal of digital certificates, which is supposed to occur 28 days before expiry. Wpay have / will fix auto-renewal, though we need to address the affected pinpads manually on this occasion
Identification:
1) The custimer may call in with either "Bank Unavailable" or "System Error" on POS screen.

2) Use the command #2378 on the pinpad to check the certificate status.

Resolution
1) Attempt manual certificate update

Switch the pinpad to standalone mode and perform a logon.

If the certificate is expired, press #99 and restart the terminal to attempt an automatic update.

If the terminal does not update, ensure it is connected to WiFi or LAN and reboot it.
2) Reset and Re-board the Device

If the issue persists, contact Oolio who will get a new certificate from Wpay. You will be provided with a new TID (Terminal ID) to go with the existing MID (Merchant ID)

Factory Reset the Pinpad:
#737381 > Leave the TID blank >Enter > Press the red x key for 10 seconds > Reboot the terminal -
Re-board the pinpa:
Once booted up, please reprovision#7410 > Enter TID: B0XXXXXX > MID: XXXXXXXXXX
