This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to use the “Price Copy” Scheduled Job to automatically implement Price Changes as needed

This an alternate method to manually completing Price Copy changes in BackOffice

Price Copy changes can be scheduled for recurring periods such as holidays, days of the week, or even specific hours

Getting Started
  • To get started, navigate in BackOffice to System Setup > Scheduled Jobs
  • With the Scheduled Jobs window open, select the Add Job option from the header ribbon to open a New Job Maintenance window
  • Add a Job Name and select the following:
    • Job Type: External DLL
    • DLL Name: Jobstd.Dll
    • ClassName: Price Copy
    • Feel free to configure additional settings such as Venue filter, Override Job, or Chained Job as well as adding a Schedule
    • The Setup Rules will need to be completed, but the Job must first be saved

                

 

Setup Rules
  • After saving and re-opening the Price Copy Scheduled Job, the Setup Rules can now be configured
  • The options here will look exactly the same as in the standard Change by Range Price Copy feature that is used within the Product List
    • Note that the default Product Group selected is the Base Product Group meaning that ALL Products in the database will be included; select another Product Group as desired

            

 

  • The following options are available:

Description

 

From Store
  • Select the store from which the prices are being copied

To Venue
  • Select Venue(s) in which the prices are being copied to

To Store
  • Select Store(s)in which the prices are being copied to

From Price Number
  • Select the Price Number from which the prices are being copied

To Price Number
  • Select the Price Number in which the prices are being copied to

                                           All Sizes
  • If this flag is ON, all Size’s Prices will be copied; else use the From Size and To Size to select specific Sizes

From Size
  • When the “All Sizes” flag is disabled, this drop-down allows for selecting a specific Size from which the Price will be copied

To Size
  • When the “All Sizes” flag is disabled, this drop-down allows for selecting a specific Size to which the Price will be copied

Use ‘From Store’ Price Modes
  • When this flag is enabled, the currently configured Price Modes for each Product/Size will be copied; this will also disable the “Price Mode” drop-down

Create Product Store if Destination does not exist
  • This flag, if enabled, will create a Product Store even if there is no destination Prod Store set up

Create Product Store even if Source does not exist
  • This flag, if enabled, will create a Product Store even if there is no Source Prod Store set up

Price Mode
  • If the “Use ‘From Store’ Price Modes” flag is disabled, this drop-down will be available and can be used to select the Price Mode for the Copied Price
Prod Profile
  • This will select the Product Profile for the Copied Price

Percentage
  • This will set the percentage of the Price to copy

Round To
  • This will set the rounding figure for the Price

Add Amount
  • This will add a specific monetary amount to the copied Price

Round Type
  • This will set the round type – either Nearest, Up, or Down
 

 

 

  • After completing the Setup Rules, you can optionally click the "Preview Changes" button to see which Price Copy changes will be made when the Job runs
