This version is our first General Release Version for EROS. This article is in relation to the Release Notes for v4.7.2.0. 

Standard Functionality 

Consolidated Printing

  • Within Printer Formats, the Receipt Type has been enhanced to include Condiment Consolidation, this feature allows the user to select the consolidation of matching condiments prior to printing and a flag called Unlike Condiments, it allows the user to consolidate base items with non-matching condiments
  • See  'Receipt' & 'Invoice' Printer Format Configurations for more information


Bistro Account Attach/Detach

  • In a Bistro Transaction, the Operator can now attach an Account to the Bistro Table at any time 
  • Example Workflow:
    • An operator opens a Bistro Table
    • The customer orders food and a beverage and the Operator saves the table prior to Payment/Table Close
    • The customer now wants to attach their Account to redeem points, etc.
    • The Operator can open the saved Bistro Table and attach the Account to it
  • Note: Earlier, this feature was only present in Retail and Table transactions


Recalled and Saved Item Incrementing/Decrementing & Repricing

  • Within SmartPOS, an item can be incremented and decremented within the same sale line
  • Example Workflow:
    • Operator opens a Table
    • Customer orders an item and Operator sends and saves the table
    • Customer now wants to order more of the same item for the table
    • The Operator can now highlight said item and increment it to update the order, the change is visible in the Qty column
    • In a similar way, the Operator can highlight an item and decrement it to update the order, the change is visible in the Qty column
  • If a Product is incremented/decremented within the SmartPOS, it is now shown within the same line and the Qty column is modified to show you the updated incremented/decremented amount

  

  • Any modifications to the items added in the product, such as any discounts added, the change to the items price is displayed within the same line. It affects all saved and unsaved items, new and recalled items alike
  • Example Workflow:
    • Customer orders an item and Operator adds the product to the transaction
    • The Operator now adds a discount to the same item
    • This discount changes the price of the item and is now visible with an updated price on the same line within the transaction

 


Refunding Tables from Transaction List

  • The Operator can now view the Table Transaction from the Transaction List and Refund the whole Table Transaction
  • Example Workflow:
    • Operator opens a Table
    • Customer orders items and pays off the transaction
    • Customer now wants to refund the transaction
    • The Operator through the Till Function Button 'Recall Transaction List' opens the transaction and refunds the table

 

 

  • Note: This was previously only available for Retail Transactions
  • Note: It doesn't work for Bistro Transactions and for Table Split Transactions


Point Changes

  • Points are awarded or earned only when the transaction is paid off, this is true for Table and Retail transactions
  • Example Workflow:
    • Operator opens a Table
    • Customer orders items and Operator sends and saves the table
    • Customer now pays off the transaction
    • The Customers earns the points on the basis of the value of the transaction
  • Note: Points are unearned if the table is reopened and then earned again when finalized
