      9 | "Add Tip" Till Function

      Bepoz helps to simplify adding and paying out Tips by providing different Tip functions SmartPOS Tip Out Reporting in BackOffice. This article covers the "Add Tips" and "EFTPOS Add Tips After Table Closed" functionalities which allow Operators to add Tips to a Transaction and to add Tips on Pre-Authorized Card Transactions after the Table has been closed, respectively.

        This article covers the "Add Tips" and "EFTPOS Add Tips After Table Closed" functionalities which allow Operators to add Tips to a Transaction and to add Tips on Pre-Authorized Card Transactions after the Table has been closed, respectively.

        Prerequisites 
        • To access Table Map features, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled 
          • System Setup  Section
            • "Maintain Till Function Maps" Flags
        "Tips" Till Function
        • The Tips Till Function allows Operators to Add Tips to a Transaction
        • The amount can either be pre-set in the system (as an Amount or a Percentage) or can be manually added to the Transaction
        Configuration Options
        • To add this function in SmartPOS, go to the desired Till Function Map
        • Configure the Till Function per below:

        1 Button Text
        • Enter the text that will display on the Till Function Button on SmartPOS Workstation screens
        2 Function
        • Set the function as "Tender & Payment"
        • This function is not Table transaction based, so can be placed in any Panel depending on Operators' convenience
        3 Sub-Function
        • Set the Sub-Function as "TIPS"
        4 Item
        • This is an optional parameter to preset the tip amount  
          • This allows operators to avoid manually entering tips amount for every transaction
        5 SubItem
        • This is an optional parameter to preset the tip percentage
        • If the tips percentage is set, it will only add the given percentage of total Tips amount entered in the system
        6  Operator Privilege 
        • Sets a list of operators who can use this function
          • Manager Override OK: Requires manager's override to perform the function
          • No Manager Required:  Do not require manager permission for the function

         

        • After all the necessary configurations have been made and the Function Map has been Saved, the Function can be used in SmartPOS

        • In this example, $3 will be added as the Tip Amount to the Transaction which is shown below:

        EFTPOS Add Tips After Table Closed
        • This will Finalize and Add any Tip to an EFTPOS PreAuth Transaction
        • It will show all outstanding Transactions based on settings for selection
          • However, the transaction has to be closed from an Integrated EFTPOS Device

        • Selects the type of transaction made to display in the list
          • 0= Pre Auths Only
          • 1 = Inc Paid
          • 2 = Inc Tipped
          • 3= Inc Paid and Tipped
          • 4= Inc All
        5 Sub Item
        • Select the table group for which the function is applied 
        6 Key

        • Select the Tip retrieving period

          • 0 =  Per Shift
          • 1 = Day
          • 2 = Week
          • 4 = Month etc.
