      4 | Bepoz Diagnostics Server Settings

      This article covers an overview of the "Settings for Server Computer" Tab in Bepoz Diagnostics which is within the "SQL Firewall" tab. This tab allows Operators to configure the SQL and Firewall settings for the server computers, BackOffice Workstation, and Tills. Operators can also view the system status and auto-fix any issues that have been interrupting the system performance with the functions available in this tab.

      This article covers an overview of the "Settings for Server Computer" Tab in Bepoz Diagnostics which is within the "SQL & Firewall" tab. This tab allows Operators to configure the SQL and Firewall settings for the server computers, BackOffice Workstation, and Tills. Operators can also view the system status and auto-fix any issues that have been interrupting the system performance with the functions available in this tab.

      The Settings for the Server Computer Tab will primarily check the connectivity and configuration of Centralised Servers.

      Settings for the Server Computer

       

      Field

      Description
      Server Setup Read This First
      • The 'Server Setup Read This First' button will display information on server computer setup
      • This section explains how the diagnostics work and contains operator guides to run the system
       Auto Analyse Server Setup
      • This button allows operators to view either a Full Analysis Text or Display Warnings only

       
      Auto Fix Server Setup
      • This button will automatically perform a full analysis and prompt operators to fix error automatically

        
      Smart Controller SQL Server Setup
      • SQL Instance - Displays the SQL Instance the Till/ Workstation is connected to
        • The 'Change' button allows changing the SQL Instance
      • SQL Database - Displays the SQL database that the till/workstation is connected too
        • The 'Change' button allows changing the SQL Database
      • Use SQL Login - Displays the SQL login status
        • The Change button allows changing the Use SQL Login status
      • SQL Bepoz Login -Displays the connection status of the Bepoz SQL login
      • Test Connection - Performs a test on the SmartController SQL server connection
        • After the test is performed without any error, 'OK' message is displayed on the SQL Instance status and SQL Database Status

              
      Local SQL Server Instances and Sevices
      • Displays all of the locally installed SQL instances also give a brief status on the connection status of each SQL connection

              

      • Start/Stop Service: This button allows operators to start or stop a running service from the list
      Firewall Settings
      • Lists all the Firewall Exceptions required to run Bepoz along with the connection status of the Firewall state 

              
      Refresh
      • This button will Refresh the Diagnostics screen
      Always on Top
      • This flag will always display the Diagnostics screen on the top of any other windows displayed
      On-Screen Keyboard
      • This button will display the On-screen keyboard
      Run Database
      • This button will execute the Database program
      Refresh Data from SmartController
      • This button will attempt to retrieve all global data
      Close
      • This button will close the diagnostics screen
