This article is an overview of the basic Bistro Till Functions and how they are used within SmartPOS. Continuing from the "Processing Bistro Transactions" article, this focuses specifically on Bistro Functions. 

There are two (2) basic Functions for Bistro Service which are covered:

1. Save Table - Saves the table but does not print the docket
2. Close Table - Closes the table after the transaction/s has been finalized 

Prerequisites 

• To access Bistro Features, the applicable Operator Privileges   will need to be enabled 
• Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
  
• General: "Operate Tills" Flag
• Tables: "Table Sales" Flag
• In addition, these Function Buttons will also need to be added to the respective  Till Function Map

User Guide

Save Table (No Kitchen Print)

• The Table Save (No Kitchen Print) Till Function button is used when Operators need to delay the printing of a Bistro Table to the kitchen
• The main reason to use this Function is when all of the customers dining together cannot be served together in immediate succession
  
• To use this function, press the "Table Save (No Kitchen Print)" button which will suspend the transaction
• At this point, SmartPOS may be used to serve a customer from another table or to perform other tasks
  
• To re-open the Table that was saved, click on the Bistro Till Function button again and then select the Table from the list
  

Close Table (Print to Kitchen)

• Whether the Table has been Saved and Re-opened or hasn't been Saved yet, after all of the required payment/s has been processed, Operators can press the "Close Table and Print to Kitchen" Till Function button
  
• This will close the Transaction and the docket will be Printed in the kitchen if remote Printing is setup
