6 | Condiment Groups

This article covers an overview of the Condiment Groups Product Mode and the available configurations within BackOffice. Condiment Groups contain a list of Condiments (these do not need to be Condiment Products). If a Condiment Group is added as a Condiment to another Product, then the Condiment Groups' list of Condiments will be shown at the SmartPOS Workstation when selected. This allows for standard lists of Condiments to be added to many products.

Condiment Groups contain a list of Condiments (these do not need to be Condiment Products).

If a Condiment Group is added as a Condiment to another Product, then the Condiment Groups' list of Condiments will be shown at the SmartPOS Workstation when selected. This allows for standard lists of Condiments to be added to many products.

Prerequisites

To access and manage Condiment Products, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled:

Operator Maintenance 'Maintenance' Tab

All "Products" Flags

Condiment Group

To create a Condiment Group, follow the given steps:

Select Condiment Group from the Product Mode drop-down in the Header Section
Enable Non-Stocked in the Stock Settings on the Product Settings Tab
Click the Condiments button on the Product Settings Tab which will open a new window to edit Condiment items

The Condiments window allows operators to Add, Edit and/or Remove Condiment Items

In order to Set the Minimum and Maximum quantity of Condiment items that need to be selected while selling the product; click on the Edit Mode button
Set the Minimum and Maximum quantity as shown in above
If no Min and Max quantity is selected; there will no limitation in the condiment selection during SmartPOS transactions

SmartPOS Example

In this example, the Condiment Group called Cooking Temperature can now be added as a Condiment to a selected variety of food
- Once the Condiment Group is added to a Product, all of the Condiments within that group will display on the SmartPOS Workstation when that Product is selected
Since the Min Qty or Max Qty parameters have been set to 1 each (as noted in the above example), it is mandatory to select 1 condiment from the list - and only 1
