1 | Creating Pick-up or Delivery Orders For Existing Accounts
This article is a how-to guide to creating Pick-up or Delivery Orders for existing Accounts in SmartPOS. The Home Delivery Option allows for adding customer details in an Account so that every time the Account is opened for a Pick-up or Delivery Order, the delivery details of that Account is also displayed. The Pick-up option allows saving a Transaction which is being picked up by Customers at a later point.

The Home Delivery Option allows for adding customer details in an Account so that every time the Account is opened for a Pick-up or Delivery Order, the delivery details of that Account is also displayed.
The Pick-up option allows saving a Transaction which is being picked up by Customers at a later point.
Prerequisites
- To access Delivery and Pickup Features, the applicable Operator Privileges

Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab - General: "Operate Tills" Flag
- Accounts & Discounts: "Accounts Till Functions" Flag
Creating Orders For Existing Accounts
- To create a Home Delivery/ Pickup order for an existing Account, click on the 'Delivery & Pickup' Till Function button
- This will open a window that will list any current orders
- Operators can add a new order by clicking on the 'New Order' button at the bottom of the window
- This will open a window asking for the phone number which will be used to locate an existing Customer in the database (or to create a new Customer if needed - details on this can be found in the next section)
- The phone number will be set as an Account Number for that Customer
- Once the phone number is entered, the system will display the Account with its details
- To use the Account, Operators can click the 'Use Account' button at the bottom right corner which will link the Account to the Transaction and the Operator can then begin adding Products and performing Till Functions as needed
- The opened Transaction will now display all the information of the customer along with the address
- For home delivery, Operators can press the 'Home Delivery' button
- For the orders that are going to be picked up, Operators can press the 'Pick Up' button
- After selecting either Home Delivery or Pick Up, the transaction will now Save and Operators can re-open it by clicking the 'Delivery & PickUp' button to process payments
