1 | Database Backup & Restore

This guide will take you through the steps in order to create a Full Backup and then Restore that Backup on a different machine or you might want to replicate your database on the same system for testing purposes where you want to leave the original unedited.

This guide will take you through the steps in order to create a Full Backup and then Restore that Backup on a different machine or you might want to replicate your database on the same system for testing purposes where you want to leave the original unedited.

Database Backup

  • Run Database.exe
  • Navigate to the Backup Tab 
  • Ensure the Database that you want to Backup is specified 
  • Click Full Backup
  • This will create a Backup to the Bepoz\Backup Directory


Database Restore

  • Copy the Full Backup to a New System to the Bepoz\Backup Directory 
  • Run Database.exe
  • Navigate to the Backup Tab
  • Click Restore Database (Zip or Back )
  • By Default, this should point to the Bepoz\Backup Directory
  • Select the Database.zip file and Click - Open
  • Give the Database a New Name Click - OK
  • Once the Restoration is complete it will ask if you would like to set the newly restored database as the current Database Click - YES
  • Click Done



  • Navigate to Set Registry Tab
  • Ensure the Workstation is set to the Smartcontroller Workstation represented by and Arrow  -->
  • Then Click Set Registry


Update Tables

With any Database restoration, it is always recommended to rerun Update Tables, to ensure the Data Tables are correct and valid for the Current version of Bepoz. 

  • Navigate to the Update Tables Tab
  • Click Update Tables 
  • Once Complete 
  • Exit out of Database.exe
