Database.exe

Database.exe - Resize

Overview

This lesson explains how to resize the database via database.exe

Overview

  • Once the database size that is set on creation is reached, BEpoz does not handle increasing the size of it very well

  • In effect once the size set is reached BEpoz will do a lot of strange things, like give variances between reports, i.e. Period Summary says Net sales of $1499.90, till balance will say $1499.90, the transaction journal will say $1,430.30, and the products summaries will say $1,502.50 all for the same reporting period

  • The procedure below will overcome the issue of SQL rebuilding the database once it has reached its creation limit
