      Error occurred in the Backoffice Program at Main thread Backoffice.cSQLDatabase ExecuteNonQuery

      Overview

      Problem / Symptoms

      When trying to Create or Post Purchase Orders within the Stock Control module, within Bepoz Backoffice from version 4.6.0.25 and above the operator might encounter the following error. 

      Error occurred in the BackOffice Program. 

      at 'Main Thread: Backoffice.cSQLDatabase: ExecuteNonQuery'​​​​​​​

      Diagnosis / Symptoms

      The following error normally occurs when site has been updated from versions 4.5.2 to versions 4.6.0.25 or above.

      This error is triggered due to the System Requirements not being met for Bepoz Version 4.6

      Resolution

      In order to fix the syntax error from occurring, the site will require that the SQL instance be update from SQL2008R2 to SQL2012 or Higher. Recommended using the latest SQL where possible like SQL2019

      Steps:

      • The client can either upgrade the existing instance of SQL using the SQL installer.  

      • Install a fresh SQL instance of 2019, reattach the Bepoz database to the updated instance and disable the old instance from starting at Windows Startup.
