16 | "Graphical Table" Sub-Function

This article outlines the "Graphical Table" Sub-Function, how it is configured in BackOffice, and how it can be used in SmartPOS. The "Graphical Table" Sub-Function displays the Graphical Table Map that is currently set for the Workstation. However, if no Graphical Table Map is selected, then the Table Open List will be displayed instead.

The "Graphical Table" Sub-Function displays the Graphical Table Map that is currently set for the Workstation. However, if no Graphical Table Map is selected, then the Table Open List will be displayed instead.

Prerequisites 

  • To access Till Function Settings, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled
    • Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab
      • System Setup: "Maintain Till Function Maps" Flag
  • To access and use this Till Function within SmartPOS, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled:
    • Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
      • General: "Operate Tills" Flag 
      • Tables: "Create New Tables" Flag

Initial Setup 

  • Click on the desired Button space and then configure the Button Settings:
    • In the Button Text field enter the text that will display on the Till Function Button on SmartPOS Workstation screens
    • Set the Function drop-down to 'Tables & Accounts'
    • Set the Sub-Function to 'Graphical Table'


Function-Specific Configuration Options 

  • If required, enter a corresponding number or combination of numbers into the Item field where: 
    • Entering the corresponding Table Group Number will display only Tables belonging to that Table Group when the Till Function button is selected
  • Enter a corresponding number into the SubItem field where:
    • "1" will automatically open a Table with a pre-allocated Number (the Table Number can be set in the Key field) 
    • "2" will sort Tables by Name 
    • "4" will automatically allocate a Table and will not prompt the Operator the list of Tables 
    • "8" will automatically save any Products in the Till List when the Table is created
    • "16" will only allow tables to be opened and created from a Room (i.e. when using a Property Management System)
  • The Key field is the Table Number or Start Table Number that will be allocated when a Table is opened 
    • This field will only be active if "1" is used in the SubItem Field 
    • If the current Table that is assigned in the Key Field is not available, it will then be assigned the next available table incrementally

SmartPOS Example

  • Below is an example of a Graphical Table Map that can be displayed after selecting the Graphical Table Sub-Function 
  • The Table Map will only be displayed if it has been assigned and configured for that Till
