This lesson explains the changes that are to be made when upgrading to Bepoz version 4.5.X and the prerequisites that enables user to make the changes
Overview
When upgrading to version 4.5.0 and above, there are some change to CAlink that the operators will need to be aware of before the upgrade
This article will demonstrate where to set the tiering flag in Backoffice
Prerequisites
Prior to version 4.5.X a template Account was required to be setup for Calink accounts to be added to bepoz through a member swipe
If tiering is being used in Versions 4.5.X, the operators will need to make all template accounts inactive for the Tier accounts groups so the tiers can be added into bepoz
There must be no Template accounts setup in the account list when using tiers with CALink
BackOffice Settings
In Backoffice Venue setting under external links, Operators will need to set the 'Use Tiering' option should be set to true
'Update Bepoz Account' option should be set to true
'Mandatory' Flag should be set to true
Below is a snap shot of the Backoffice CAlink settings for IGT in Version 4.5.0 and above
Tier Groups
The tier groups should be manually setup in back office prior to the IGT member being created in BackOffice on member card swipe
If The Member Tier Groups is not created within BackOffice and in Bepoz Venue settings > External links, when 'Update bepoz account' and 'Use Tiering' is flagged true, the tier groups are created from the card level that IGT sends Bepoz via CALink although the group setting that will be created are the system default group settings and may not be the settings required for the venue
When a Tier Group is manually added to Back office and the settings for the tier group have been adjusted, when adding a new member on card swipe the member added to the group will use the group settings to create the member in BackOffice
Below is a sample of the default setting that Bepoz will set if there are no tier groups are manually created in BackOffice
The operators can use the example provided to setup the members tiers in BackOffice
If the Tier group requires a change to the group, It is recommended to use the 'Change by range' feature to adjust the setting for the tier group. When a new member is added from IGT it will use the Updated settings for the account group. There is no need to flag use group settings as bepoz will use the group setting to create the member
Do not change/modify the Account group Name and account group number for the tier group the tier groups in bepoz. e.g. The Account Number ' CALINKGOLD' and the last name 'Tier Gold' should never be changed/modified as bepoz looks for these tier names in bepoz
If the tier account number for the account group does not exist then bepoz will create the tier group and add the member to the tier group
