About
- The interface with Impact Data allows customers to redeem TalkBox Promotions and Vouchers
- TalkBox Vouchers are created and sent to Customers as redeemable QR Codes which are sent through platforms such as e-mail, SMS, social media and other external mobile applications
- This feature-set and functionality requires creating and configuring an API Till on the Venue's Bepoz server, configuring an "XML API" Scheduled Job, and an "Impact Data" Till Extension
- Additionally, Vouchers need to be created within TalkBox and mapped to Vouchers in the local Bepoz database using the Voucher ID
- Impact Data will create an excel form with Voucher Details needed to setup
- Corresponding Vouchers will need to be created in the local Bepoz database
- Then, the Voucher Setup ID of the Vouchers will need to be added in the excel file and sent back to Impact Data
Prerequisites
- Minimum Bepoz version of 4.6 is required for this functionality
- This interface requires .NET 4.6 or above, as such this interface is not available on the following POS OS
- XP
- POSReady 2009
- To access and configure ImpactData Features, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled

Operator Maintenance 'Marketing & Promotions' Tab - Promotions: "Maintain Voucher Setup" Flags
- The following items need to be addressed when setting up the Bepoz API, including access by a third party:
- The Venue need to purchase the Bepoz API as an add-on to the POS
- The Venue will require an additional till license for the API
- The Venue’s IT provider will need to provide Port forwarding API Port to Bepoz server
- Bepoz implementation team: API Set-Up on the Venue’s Bepoz Server
- Bepoz implementation team: Perform External connection tests to the API
Key Features
BackOffice Setup
- BackOffice setup begins with licensing and adding an API Till on the Venue's Bepoz server, however if an additional till license has not been issued when the API till starts it may use a license of a physical till which will stop that physical till from working
- An API Till Scheduled Job also needs to be setup and configured to run everyday at startup
- Within the Job Options, set the API Till that was added as the Till used in the Job
- As stated above, Vouchers will need to be created in BackOffice with Voucher IDs provided to Impact Data
- Lastly, an "Impact Data" Till Extension will need to be created and configured using the Base URL provided by Impact Data
SmartPOS Functionality
- Redeeming the TalkBox Vouchers can be done directly in SmartPOS by simply scanning the customer's TalkBox Voucher, retrieving and displaying the voucher information, and selecting to redeem the Voucher
