This article covers the device setup process for Ingenico terminal in Bepoz System which is an EFTPOS interface ( Bepoz Version 4.1.0.0). This interface is to the Ingenico terminal via RS232.

This article covers the device setup process for Ingenico terminal in Bepoz System which is an EFTPOS  interface ( Bepoz Version 4.1.0.0).

This interface is to the Ingenico terminal via RS232. This is a standalone EFTPOS interface – meaning that each till connects direct to each EFTPOS terminal and each must have its own telephone line. There is no support for networked EFTPOS terminals. This Interface is supported by CE Tills and Windows Tills. The Interface is known as the Standalone EFT Limited Interface Specification. This Specification nominates the NPT-710 is the unit to use. All timeouts are defined by the system.

Prerequisites 
  • To access Device and Interface Maintenance, the following Operators will need to be enabled: 
    • Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab
      • System Setup: "Access Venue Stores & Tills" Flag 
      • System Setup: "Maintain Venue Stores & Tills" Flag

Parity None
Data 8 bits, 1 stop bit
Retries No Retries

Transaction Flow:

  1. ECR Sends ‘T’ message, containing transaction type and Amount
  2. NPT-710 sends ‘ACK’
  3. NPT-710 sends Display request to ECR
  4. ECR sends ‘ACK in response
  5. ECR sends response to Display message
  6. ECR start a 2 minute timer (Any display message received restarts this 2 minute timer)
  7. NPT-710 performs transaction
  8. NPT-710 sends Transaction response message to ECR. The text that is returned in the response may be displayed by the ECR
  9. ECR sends ‘ACK to NPT-710 in response
  10. Transaction is complete
