      1 | Introduction to Bistro Environment

      Bistro Table service is a system where customers from the same Table may make separate orders and payments; and, payments are typically processed for each guest immediately after they order. This article covers this type of dining configuration in Bepoz and also explains the functions provided by the system for a Bistro environment.

      Bistro Table service is a system where customers from the same Table may make separate orders and payments; and, payments are typically processed for each guest immediately after they order.

      This article covers this type of dining configuration in Bepoz and also explains the functions provided by the system for a Bistro environment.

      Prerequisites 

      • To access Bistro Features, the applicable Operator Privileges   will need to be enabled 
        • Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
          • General: "Operate Tills" Flag
          • Tables: "Table Sales" Flag

      Bistro Service Environment

      • For restaurants having Bistro Service environments, it will be more beneficial to use Bistro Table functions rather than Standard Table Functions
      • The Functionality of Bistro Table Accounts is designed to work in a Bistro Environment where the customer generally Tenders Payment and Finalises the Transaction when they are ordering
      • When a Bistro Table Account is opened, multiple separate orders can be Processed and Tendered separately to the Account, but only one kitchen printer docket prints, consolidating all of the separate orders Processed
      • After the payment has been made, Customers are either given a table number or a pager to collect the food when it's ready

      Bistro Transactions

      • In a Bistro transaction, operators can add multiple entries to the same Table and the bills are paid separately
      • The Table will print all the Transaction in the same Receipt
        • Customers can also receive their individual receipts after processing payments for each transaction


      Bistro Functions

      • Bistro Functions are somewhat similar to Standard Table Functions apart from the fact that the payments have to be processed before closing the transaction in a Bistro environment
      • If Operators try to close the Table before payment is made, following prompt will appear on the screen
