This article provides an introduction to Manager Till Functions in SmartPOS. The Manager Function Panel (Manager Menu) contains Till Function buttons which allow access for Functions that are generally carried out at a Management level. An Operator must have the proper authorization to access Manager Functions. The Manager Menu contains cash-related functions, training-related functions, maintenance, and diagnostic functions.

    The Manager Function Panel (Manager Menu) contains Till Function buttons which allow access for Functions that are generally carried out at a Management level. An Operator must have the proper authorization to access Manager Functions. 

    The Manager Menu contains cash-related functions, training-related functions, maintenance, and diagnostic functions.

    Prerequisites

    • To access the Manager Function Panel, the Operator will need to be authorized to do so
    • The setting which grants access can be found within BackOffice in Operator Maintenance on the Till Privileges Tab
    • If the Managers Functions flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to the Manager Function buttons
    • If the Managers Overrides flag is enabled, the Operator will be able to enter their Operator Number to authorize a Manager Override at a SmartPOS Workstation if the logged on Operator does not have the authorization to perform a Function

    • To access the Manager function buttons, an Operator will need to first select the Manager Menu button from the SmartPOS main screen; this may be located elsewhere depending on System configuration
    • After tapping that button, the Function Map Panel will change to display the Manager function buttons; these may vary

     

      


    • The layout and contents of these Function Panels may look different on your SmartPOS Workstation as they can be customized and changed within BackOffice
