This article covers an overview of available Sales Reporting options in BackOffice. The Sales Report section allows access to reports for SmartPOS workstations, Products, Accounts, Operators and also Tables.

This article covers an overview of available Sales Reporting options in BackOffice. 

The Sales Report section allows access to reports for SmartPOS workstations, Products, Accounts, Operators and also Tables.

End of Shift/Day procedures for both back and front of the house will also be outlined in addition to identifying how to correlate between the two for procedures such as Changing Shifts, End of Shift Reports, Cash Declarations, and Transaction Journals

Prerequisites 

  • To access Sales Reports, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled 
    • Operator Maintenance 'Reporting' Tab
      • Sales Reports: "Allow Cash Reports" Flag 
      • Sales Reports: "Allow Product Reports" Flag 
      • Sales Reports: "Allow Accounts Reports" Flag

Period Summary

  • Snapshot overview of all financial information through entire Venues or individual Stores 
  • Can be run for Store, Store Group or for all Stores 
  • Micro-reporting concept that aims to provide an overall view; other Reports are available for more detailed information 
  • Contents of the period summary can include: 
    • Stock 
    • Account 
    • Sales 
    • Pricing 
    • Banking 
    • Group/Types

Till Summaries

  • Provide summaries of sales by POS workstations, Store, Store Group, or Venues 
  • Data collected can be generated into graphs and charts to compare periods for statistical analysis 
  • Display cash balance information of Tills (SmartPOS) such as: 
    • Product Sales 
    • Account Sales
    • Table Sales  

Operator Summaries

  • Similar to Till 
  • summaries but instead reports the sales of Operators 
  • Used for tracking Staff performances and compare sales between them 
  • Displays useful Operator data that can be used to highlight potential problems such as the number of: 
    • No sales 
    • Returns 
    • Canceled orders 
  • Can also chart and generate graphs for statistical analysis

Product Summaries

  • Displays the Sales of Products such as their: 
    • Number of sales 
    • Costs 
    • Applied Discounts 
    • Profitability 
  • Different Views can be configured to display the desired information for the user  
  • Can also chart and generate graphs for statistical analysis

Account Summaries

  • Displays the sales and also prints Statements by Account
  • Authorizes all accounts to be examined in the brief or detailed form 
  • Unlike the brief form, the detailed form can view: 
    • Transaction Listings 
    • Product Summaries
    • Products by Transactions
  • In addition to the above, there are two (2) other Sales Report options that can be accessed:
    • Sales Report Creator :

      • Enables report generation with the addition of various options that are not included from default reports 
    • Transaction Journal :

      • Shows every transaction that is entered at SmartPOS
