Prerequisites
  • To access and edit ‘Location Tags’ settings, the following Roles Privileges will need to be enabled
    • Roles "Roles Maintenance" panel
      • Privilege Flags: "System Setup"
  • The venue toggle on the "Main" tab will need to be set to Multi Venue 

 

Location Tags

Location Tags are labels that are used to sort multi-venues into distinct categories. For example, one myplace app may have 10 locations, 5 that are restaurants and 5 that are pubs. Users can have two location tags, restaurant and pubs and sort each venue/store into their respective category. When a customer clicks the restaurant tag on the app, the 5 locations will appear.

 

In the 'Location Tags' tab, it will display the existing tags, a search icon, an add icon, and several columns for location tag configuration and information.

Function Description
Loaction Tag Enable          
  • A toggle to enable/disable location tag feature
Search icon  
  • When the icon is clicked, a search bar will appear for users to find certain location tags.
  • As the user enters characters in the search bar the list will display the tags that match the sequence
Add Icon  
  • This icon is used to add a new Location Tag 
  • Clicking this icon will open the 'Location Maintenance' screen with completely empty fields

  • Click the icon to add a new location tag, and the "Location Tag Maintenance" will open
Name
  • A unique ID number for each location tag
Hide in App
  • A title for each existing location tag
Active
  • A toggle to hide the venue tag in the app
  • ON: location tag will be hidden and not appear in the app
  • OFF: location tag will appear as an option on the app
Display Order
  • The order in which the location tags will display
Option
  • This column contains several icons, that allow editing of existing location tags.
  • Clicking one of these icons will open the "Location Tag Maintenance" panel where users can edit the location tag

Add a New Location Tag

 

Steps

  • To add a new product, follow these steps after logging into Myplace Backpanel.
  1. On the menu sidebar, click Settings
  2. Scroll down and click Locations 
  3. Select the Location Tags tab
  4. Click the add icon on the right-hand side, which opens the Location Tag Maintenance window
  5. At a minimum, to create a new location tag, only a name is required
  6. Click Save and Close and a new Location Tag will be added

 

 

Edit an Existing Location Tag

Steps 

  • To edit an existing location tag, follow the steps after logging into Myplace Backpanel:
  1. On the menu sidebar, click Settings
  2. Scroll down and click Location 
  3. Select the Location Tags tab
  4. In the Option column, Click an edit icon in the desired row and the Location Tag Maintenance window will open
  5. At a minimum, only a name is required. All other fields are optional
  6. Click Save & Close and the existing location tag will be updated
