Learn how to covers an overview of how to access, add, edit and delete Printer Profiles in BackOffice. Printer Profiles can be set to define where a Product will print to when its sold.  With a Printer Profile, a Product can be allocated to multiple Printer Types for remote printing.

This article covers an overview of how to access, add, edit and delete Printer Profiles in BackOffice.

Printer Profiles can be set to define where a Product will print to when its sold. With a Printer Profile, a Product can be allocated to multiple Printer Types for remote printing.

Prerequisites 

  • To access Printer Profile Settings, the applicable Operator Privileges   will need to be enabled 
    • Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab
      • Operational Setup: "Maintain Printer Profiles" Flag 
  • To create Printer Profiles, the Printer Types must first be defined in Venue Settings
  • To do so, go to BackOffice > System Setup > Venue, Stores, & Tills > Venue Maintenance
  • Under the Names Tab, define the six (6) Printer Types


Accessing Printer Profiles

  • To access Printer Profiles, navigate to the Operational Setup component in the side menu of BackOffice and select Printer Profiles which will open a Printer Profiles window
  • This window contains a number of buttons which can be used for Adding Printer Profiles, Editing them and Deleting unrequired Printer Profiles

Adding a Printer Profile

  • To add a new Printer Profile, click on the 'Add Printer Profile' button in the header
  • This will open a base window as shown below to be used for adding the new Printer Profile


  • Printer Profile Name

    • Add a new name for the Printer Profile
  • Printer Type Assigned

    • This allocates the Printers that the Product will print to
    • These Printers can locate to the different area depending on the type of products being sold

Editing Printer Profile

  • To edit existing profiles, highlight the line and Press on 'Edit Printer Profile' button at the header
  • This will open the base page as above from where the profile configuration can be updated

Deleting Printer Profile

  • To delete a Printer Profile, highlight the line and Click on the 'Delete Printer Profile' button
  • This will delete the selected line however, Printer Profiles that are being used in any Products or Stores cannot be deleted unless they are detached from the products or stores
