3 | Mapping Thirsty Camel Hump Club Transactions to Local Bepoz Accounts

This article provides a guide for configuring the Custom Field text for the Thirsty Camel Interface in BackOffice. A Custom Field Prefix allows for mapping and sending only the valid Hump Club transactions to the Thirsty Camel Server.

This article provides a guide for configuring the Custom Field text for the Thirsty Camel Interface in BackOffice. A Custom Field Prefix allows for mapping and sending only the valid Hump Club transactions to the Thirsty Camel Server.

Prerequisites

  • To access and configure Thirsty Camel Settings, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled:
    • Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab
      • System Setup: "Access Venue, Stores & Tills" Flag
      • System Setup: "Maintain Venue, Stores & Tills" Flag
      • System Setup: "Maintain Till Function Maps" Flag
    • Operator Maintenance 'Maintenance' Tab
      • Accounts & Memberships: "View Accounts" Flag
      • Accounts & Memberships: "Edit Accounts" Flag
      • Accounts & Memberships: "View Account Custom Info" Flag
      • Accounts & Memberships: "Edit Account Custom Info" Flag

    CustomField Prefix 

    • The CustomField Prefix in the Thirsty Camel Till Extension and Transaction Queue device allows to send only relevant Hump Club transactions to the Thirsty Camel server
    • The 'CustomField Prefix' searches for the 'Account Custom Flag' and 'Account Custom Text' name setups in Account Maintenance
    • To assign a value to the CustomField Prefix in Thirsty Camel Till Extension device, a Custom Flag & a Custom Field text must first be setup in Account Maintenance 
      • For how to configure Custom Fields in Account, please refer to Account Maintenance "Custom Info" Tab  
    • Once a Custom Flag and Custom text field has been setup, it can then be assigned to the 'CustomField Prefix' field in Thirsty Camel Till Extension device
      • NB: The value in 'CustomField Prefix' must be the same as Custom Flag and Custom Text name field in Account Maintenance which otherwise would result in an Error message while retrieving Hump Club Offers on SmartPOS
    • Once these are set,
      • When a Hump Club member who doesn't have a Bepoz account is accessed on SmartPOS for the first time, the member will be created in Bepoz with their mobile number in 'Hump Club Text'  and the flag 'HumpClubFlag' will be set to true
      • For the existing Bepoz Accounts for which the Hump Club Custom fields have not been set, the account must first be attached to the transaction and then the Hump Club Card must then be scanned which will then automatically set the Hump Club Custom flag to ON 
        • NB: If there any issues with scanning the Hump Club Card, the 'Any Scan Entry' Till function button can be setup on SmartPOS
