Overview
This lesson gives a solution to the problem 'members Discounting to Zero Price in a Takeaway Mode' with a real world example
Problem
When the customer makes a general sale for example VB stubbie, then changes to take away made and buys 6pack vb stubbie, swipes members card (Tier PPH) the product in takeaway mode changes to 0 no discount. there is no pricing policies in the account setting
Solution
The customer was using the temporary price change function so as to use the bar tills for mixed service and keep reporting correct an example is shown below
The account was then using the Tills pricing policy as shown below
The till was set to use the normal price as its default price meaning once any accounts where attached then they would reprice to offer the guest the best price for the products sold on the transaction in question
As shown in below example size 2 as zero price in the bar (A) & (B)
While in the takeaway store there is a price of $25 (A) & (B) below
Result was when the account was been attached Bar store pricing was been applied an setting the price to $0.00
Fix
Please make the below changes to the Bar store marked (A) below
(B) unflagging and size to be used the pricing for in the "show in store" column this will prevent these products showing when not desired at SmartPOS and prevent sale in error
(C) set the price to match that of the takeaway store
The result will be that the venue can perform there current work-flow with the reporting benefits while maintaining the correct pricing policy
