2 | Misc. Common Manager Till Functions

This article covers an overview of a variety of common Manager Till Functions and how they can be used for day-to-day business operations. Manager Functions include a variety of both Basic and Advanced Functions. Some of the basic, more common Manager Functions will be explained in this article, while some of the more advanced Manager Functions will be explained in detail in additional articles throughout myBepoz where needed.

    Manager Functions include a variety of both Basic and Advanced Functions. Some of the basic, more common Manager Functions will be explained in this article, while some of the more advanced Manager Functions will be explained in detail in additional articles throughout myBepoz where needed.

    Prerequisites 
    • To access SmartPOS Manager functions, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled 
      • Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
        • All "General" Flags 
        • Managers: "Mangers Functions" Flag

    Basic Manager Functions Explained

     

      Manager Function

      Description & Information

    Training Mode

    • Selecting this button will set the Workstation into Training Mode until it is tapped again to turn off

    Price Level KeySets

    • Tapping the Price Level KeySets function button will open a selection window allowing an authorized Operator to change the Price Level, KeySet, and/or Table Map Set

       

    Cash Payout

    • Selecting the Cash Payout function button will allow the Operator to process a Cash Payout from that Workstation
    • This can be used for things like paying a tradesperson for a one-off repair, using cash to purchase supplies from a grocery store, etc.
    • A window will open asking the Operator to enter the Amount and prompts will follow confirming the procedure
    • The Cash Payout will then display in the Transaction Window

      

      

     

    Drawer Clearance

    • Tapping the Drawer Clearance function button will allow the Operator to clear and track an excess amount of cash from the drawer
    • A window will open asking the Operator to enter the Amount and prompts will follow confirming the procedure
    • The Clearance Amount will then display in the Transaction Window

     

     

    Refresh KeyMaps

    • Selecting the Refresh KeyMaps function button will update the SmartPOS Workstation Key Maps with any changes that have been made in BackOffice
      • These include additional Functions programmed on the Function Panel, Changes to Key Sets & Maps, etc.

    USB Transfer

    • The USB Transfer function button allows an Operator to Transfer Databases and Transactions between Workstations and the Server using a removable or Flash Drive
    • This can be used when if no Network is available
    • This can also be used to transfer data between Head Office and Remote Venues

    Scan Swipe Diagnostic

    • Tapping this function button will display a diagnostic screen showing any raw scan data received by the SmartPOS Workstation

    Select Till

    • Selecting the Select Till function button will open a window allowing the Operator to change the currently Online Workstation to a different one for future Transactions
    • The Current Workstation's status will be Online
    • A Workstation Name can only be selected if its status is Available

    Exit Till

    • Tapping the Exit Till function button will Shut Down the SmartPOS Program on the Workstation

        

    Set Float

    • Selecting the Set Float function button will allow the Operator to enter the starting bank Amount for the drawer prior to the start of business
    • A window will open asking the Operator to enter the Amount and prompts will follow confirming the procedure
    • The Float Amount will then display in the Transaction Window

       

       

       

    Cancel Menu

    • Tapping the Cancel Menu function button will return the Function Panel to the main Function Panel
