2 | MyEG Device Setup

This article covers the Device setup guide, required Till Extension and Transaction Queue for the MyEG Interface. Prior to using the MyEG interface, you will need to add and setup two (2) New Devices in BackOffice. The first Device you will need to create is a Transaction Queue. You will also need to create a Till Extension. After these Devices have been added in BackOffice, the MyEG interface will be functioning.

Prior to using the MyEG interface, you will need to add and setup two (2) New Devices in BackOffice. The first Device you will need to create is a Transaction Queue. You will also need to create a Till Extension. After these Devices have been added in BackOffice, the MyEG interface will be functioning.

Prerequisites 

  • To access Devices & Interfaces, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled: 
    • Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab
      • System Setup: "Access Venue, Stores & Tills" Flag
      • System Setup: "Maintain Venue Stores & Tills" Flag

Add Transaction Queue in Backoffice

  • To get started, log in to BackOffice
  • Select the Venue, Stores & Tills option from the side menu within System Setup
  • From the Venue list, select the desired Till that you would like to add the interface & Devices to
  • Select the Add New Device button from the Header Section and select Blank Device when prompted to Select a Device to Copy
  • This will open a Device and Interfaces Maintenance window for a New Device
    • Give the device a relevant name
    • Select Transaction Queue as the Device Type
    • The External DLL Name should be Stdlibrary.Dll
    • Select My EG Malaysia as the Class Name
    • Fill in the fields in the Device Options with the information which should be provided or obtained via MyEG and/or Tax Office
  • Click the Test Send MyEG button to check if you are able to successfully connect to the MyEG Server

  • If the connection is successful, a True message will appear with a string of data

  • If the connection is unsuccessful, the following message will appear


Add Till Extension in Backoffice

  • After adding the Transaction Queue, you will also need to add a Till Extension
  • Repeat steps 1 through 4 from above
    • Give the device a relevant name
    • Select Till Extension as the Device Type
    • The External DLL Name should be Tillx_malaysiagst.Dll
    • Select Malaysian My EG as the Class Name
    • Enter a desired number (in seconds) into the Print Receipt Timeout field


  • The MyEG interface is designed exclusively for Venues configured with Country of either Malaysia or Malaysia GST
