This article contains the User Guide for MyEG after the interface has been successfully configured with Devices set up in BackOffice.

After successfully  configuring   the Transaction Queue and Till Extension devices in BackOffice, the MyEG interface will be ready. When a transaction is processed, the information is sent to the MyEG Server and is saved locally in a *.txt file. MyEG returns a Reference Number which is also saved locally (in a different *.txt file) and the Reference Number is also printed on the customer receipt.

Prerequisites

  • To access MyEG Features, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled:
    • Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
      • General: "Operate Tills" Flag

Data Sent to MyEG

  • After processing a transaction, data is saved and sent to MyEG for tax purposes
  • This data can be found in the Bepoz Data Directory in a text file named MyEG_DataSend.txt

  • Transactions will be listed in this file by Date & Time, Transaction Number, and Table ID
  • The data will read as follows for each Transaction
    • Retail ID, Receipt Number, Date and Time (format is DDMMYYYHHMMSS), Product Name | Qty | Unit Cost Including Tax | Tax Mode Including Tax | Discount Item | Tax Code | Tax Rate | Tax Total | Cost Total Excluding Tax | Cost Total Including Tax | Industry Code <> Summary* | Tax Code |Tax Rate | Tax Total | Cost Total Excluding Tax <>, Total Sales All After Rounding, Total Tax All, Total Sales Taxable All Excluding Tax, Total Discount, Total Other Charges, Total Sales All Non Tax, Total Sales All Before Rounding, Rounding Total Sales All
  • Data in Bold is separate for each individual item in the Transaction so these will be repeated for each line item in the Transaction

Example Transaction & Data

  • After successfully processing Payment for the above Transaction, the data which has been sent to MyEG can be found in the MyEG_DataSend.txt file
  • "21-08-2017 02:07:18 4943 Table ID : 0
  • RetailPOSID_1,4943,21082017020718,Duff|1|7.5|T|0|SR|0.111|0.75|6.75|7.5|602%3C%3EPork%20Ribs|1|30|T|0|SR|0.111|3|27|30|602%3C%3ESummary*|SR|0.111|3.75|33.75%3C%3E,37.5,3.75,33.75,0,0,0,33.75,0"

  • If the connection attempt to MyEG is unsuccessful after the Payment has been processed for the Transaction, a timeout message will appear; if the Operator selects not to wait for a response from MyEG, the Receipt will print without a Reference Number
