Overview
This guide will show you the process of how to create a New Database to be used by the Bepoz Application
Prerequisites
Run Database.exe
This is located in the '\\Bepoz\\Programs' Directory
Note: On a fresh install of Bepoz on the first startup of Database.exe you will encounter an error this due to the SQL instance being set to a dummy value, so Database.exe fails to connect and results in the error displayed.
Simple OK the error.
Set Registry Settings
Navigate to the Set Registry Settings Tab
2. Ensure that the SQL instance is set in the dropdown box
3. Ensure that SQL Login is checked
4. Re-Set Login
5. Set Registry
Modify Databases
Navigate to the Modify Databases Tab
1. Create New Database
2. Give the New Database a Name - Click OK
3. You will now be prompted for the Save Location - which should be set to the default location (C:\\Bepoz\\Data\\) - Click Save
4. The Next Prompt will ask for the Initial size that the Database File will be, in this case you can set this to default on your Demo system of 200 MB to save space but in a production environment you want to specify 10000 MB - Click OK
5. Database.exe will now start created the Database.
6. Once completed you will get a prompt to ask if you would like to use the newly created Database as the Current one. - Click YES
7. Next Prompt will be an Global Object not available, this will occur everytime you create a new database as the Database has not set any of the global parameters as Backoffice has not been run yet for this newly created Database. - Click OK
Last Step is Done - Click OK
