This article covers an overview of NowBookIt Walk-ins from SmartPOS. Prerequisites In order to perform NowBookIt Walkins from SmartPOS; the following Operator prerequisites have to be fulfilled Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab System Setup Flags - "Access Venue Stores Tills flag System Setup Flags - "Maintain Venue Stores Tills flag N.B - When setting up the NBI interface on a new venue, it's important that all bookings on prior dates within NBI portal have been finalised.

Prerequisites

  • In order to perform NowBookIt Walkins from SmartPOS; the following Operator prerequisites have to be fulfilled
    • Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab
      • System Setup Flags - "Access Venue Stores & Tills flag
      • System Setup Flags - "Maintain Venue Stores & Tills flag
  • N.B - When setting up the NBI interface on a new venue, it's important that all bookings on prior dates within NBI portal have been finalised. Otherwise, conflicts may arise when trying to seat a walkin from SmartPOS

NowBookIt Walk-ins from SmartPOS Workflow

    • Within the Till Extension Device settings, if the 'Allow Walkin' flag is ON and the 'Customer Prompt' flag is also ON, then Operators will be prompted to enter the customer information when a Walkin is created from SmartPOS when the table group flag is OFF; otherwise no prompt will be given to enter customer details
      1. Login to SmartPOS and create a walk-in for NowBookIt
      2. Select the NowBookIt section to create a walk-in
      3. Select the table from the given list 
      4. After selecting the table, it prompts you to enter the Customer Name and the Guest Count
