4 | Operator Maintenance Header

This article covers an overview of the Operator Maintenance Header and the available configuration options in BackOffice. The Header section of the Operator Maintenance window remains in view no matter which Operator tab is selected. This is by design so that the current Operator record being maintained can always be referenced by Operator Number, Name, etc.

Prerequisites 
  • To access Operator Maintenance, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled: 
    • Operator Maintenance 'Maintenance' Tab
      • Operators: "View Operators" Flags 
      • Operators: "Create New Operators" Flags 
      • Operators: "Edit Operators" Flags 

'Operator Maintenance' Header

Configuration Option

Description

Operator Number
  • This is the Operator's unique identification number that is used to log in to a SmartPOS Workstation
  • If the Operator has BackOffice privileges, this number can also be used to login to BackOffice
  • This is a required field
Card Number
  • This is the number or string of characters from any RFID device that is scanned for logging in
  • This cannot be manually keyed into a Workstation
  • This is not a required field
myBepoz ID & 'Request' button
  • The myBepoz ID field will be used to enter the Operator's myBepoz Account ID which will map the Operator to the profile of the user on myBepoz
  • After the myBepoz ID has been entered, the Request button will need to be clicked to initiate the request to myBepoz to obtain the shared user information
    • The myBepoz user will need to accept the request before the Operator is mapped in Bepoz
    • Once the myBepoz user has accepted the request from the Venue, the Operator Maintenance record will be linked to the myBepoz user
'Use Group Settings' flag
  • If this flag is enabled, all of the Operator Privileges will be copied from the Operator's Parent Group
  • The Operator's Privileges cannot be changed while the Use Group Settings flag is enabled
First Name
  • The first name of the Operator should be entered into this field
  • This is a required field
Last Name
  • The last name of the Operator should be entered into this field
  • This is not a required field
Password
  • This is the Password that will need to be entered for the Operator to securely log in to BackOffice
  • This is not required for Operators who do not use BackOffice
Operator Group
  • An Operator can be moved to another Operator Group by selecting a different Group from this drop-down
  • Operator Groups can be used to organize Operators into collections of similar teams or roles, and can also be used to filter information in BackOffice Reports
Created
  • This is the Date and Time the Operator record was created in Bepoz
Date Last Sale
  • This is the Date and Time of the Last Transaction entered by the Operator
  • If the Operator has never processed a Transaction it will display "Never"
'Inactive' flag
  • Enable this flag to make an Operator inactive
  • When an Operator is inactive, they will be hidden in the Active Operator Lists
    • Inactive Operators can be viewed by enabling the 'Inactive' flag in the Operator List tab
  • An Inactive Operator can be made active again by disabling this flag
  • As a common concept in Bepoz, Operators cannot be deleted from the system; they can only be inactivate
