This article covers the Operator Maintenance "Maintenance" Tab and its configuration options. This tab contains a multitude of settings and configuration options, predominantly in the form of privilege flags. The tab is broken down into sections to make it a bit more manageable; these include Products, Operators, Accounts Memberships, Billings, and Suppliers.

Prerequisites

To access and edit Operators, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled:

Configuration Options Explained

To enable or disable all of the flags within a section with one click, simply click on the flag next to the section heading; i.e., to enable all of the Products flags at once - enable the flag next to 'Products'

Section	Configuration Option	Description
OPERATORS	View Operators	If this flag is enabled the Operator can view the Operator List in BackOffice If this is enabled along with the Create New Operators & Edit Operators flags both being disabled then the Operator can only view the Operator List
Create New Operators	If this flag is enabled, the Operator can create new Operators in BackOffice
Edit Operators	If this flag is enabled, the Operator can modify existing Operators' details in BackOffice
View Operator Custom Info	If this flag is enabled, the Operator can access the Custom Info tab for Operator Maintenance
Edit Operator Custom Info	If this flag is enabled, the Operator can edit Custom Info for Operator Maintenance
ACCOUNTS & MEMBERSHIPS	View Accounts	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to view Accounts If enabled and the Edit Accounts flag is disabled, this operator can only view Accounts
Edit Accounts	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to modify existing Accounts' details
Create New Accounts	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to create new Accounts within SmartPOS and in BackOffice
Join Members	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to Join Accounts to Memberships To Create a New Member, the Operator will also need the Create New Accounts flag enabled
Renew Members	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to Renew Existing Members
Administrate Members	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have setup capabilities for Memberships This flag must be enabled for the Operator to have access to the Membership Menu in BackOffice
View Account Custom Info	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to the Custom Info Tab in the Account Maintenance window in BackOffice
Edit Account Customer	If this flag is enabled, the Operator can edit Custom Info in the Account Maintenance window in BackOffice
BILLINGS	Add Scheduled Billing	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will be allowed to Add New Scheduled Billings within SmartPOS and in BackOffice
BILLINGS	Edit Scheduled Billing	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to Edit Existing Scheduled Billings within SmartPOS and in BackOffice This includes changing the Stored Card to use and the Schedule
SUPPLIERS	View Suppliers	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to view Suppliers in BackOffice If enabled, and the Edit Suppliers flag is disabled, the Operator can only view, not Edit Suppliers
	Create New Suppliers	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have the capability of creating New Suppliers in BackOffice
	Edit Suppliers	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have the capability of editing Existing Suppliers in BackOffice
	View Supplier Custom Info	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to the Custom Info for Suppliers
	Edit Supplier Custom Info	If this flag is enabled the Operator can edit the Custom Info in Supplier Maintenance
P R O D U C T S	View Products	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to view Products in BackOffice If enabled, and the Edit Product flag is disabled, the Operator can only view, not Edit Products
	Edit Products	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have the capability of editing Existing Products in BackOffice Enabling this flag does not allow the Operator to edit Prices or Sizes
	Create New Products	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have the capability of creating New Products in BackOffice
	Create New Product Groups	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have the ability to create new Product Groups in BackOffice
	Add/Delete Product Stores	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have the ability to Add and Delete Stores to a Product This determines where a Product can be Stocked and Sold
	Make Products Inactive	This flag controls the Operator Privilege to be able to mark Products as Inactive in BackOffice If enabled for an Operator, they will indeed have the capability of making Products Inactive, however, if this flag is disabled for an Operator, they will not be able to make Products Inactive This applies to both methods of making a Product Inactive - via the individual Product Maintenance window and also via Edit Mode through the Product List This flag does not control the capability to change a Product from Inactive to Active
	Edit Prices	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to Edit Prices for Products within SmartPOS and in BackOffice
	Edit Product Store Info	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have the ability to Edit Product Store Information such as Printer Profiles, Prerequisites, etc. This does not allow the Operator to Edit Product Store Pricing
	Edit Product Sizes	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to Edit Product Size information
	Add Barcodes	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have the ability to Add Barcodes to Product records
	Edit Barcodes	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have the ability to Edit Barcodes for Product records
	Delete Barcodes	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have the ability to Delete Barcodes from Product records
	Maintain KeyMap Settings	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have the capability of Editing and Maintaining KeyMap Settings
	Maintain Product Profiles	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to Maintain Product Profiles
	View Product Custom Info	If this flag is enabled, the Operator will have access to the Custom Info tab in the Product Maintenance window
	Edit Product Custom Info	If this flag is enabled, the Operator can edit the Custom Info in the Product Maintenance window
	Viewable Products drop-down	This drop-down can be used to limit the Operator's access to which Products they can View from the Product List in BackOffice and within SmartPOS This will not affect the Operator's ability to sell Products; use Prerequisites for that function Select a specific Product Group to which the Operator will be granted access, or allow access to All Products
	Editable Products drop-down	This drop-down can be used to limit the Operator's access to which Products they can Edit the Product Settings for in BackOffice and within SmartPOS This will not affect the Operator's ability to sell Products; use Prerequisites for that function The Operator will also need the Edit Products privilege flag enabled Select a specific Product Group to which the Operator will be granted access, or allow access to All Products
	Editable Prices/Stores drop-down	This drop-down can be used to limit the Operator's access to which Products they can Edit the Store/Pricing Settings for This will not affect the Operator's ability to sell Products; you may use Prerequisites for that function The Operator will also need the Edit Prices and Edit Product Store Info privilege flags enabled, respectively, to the functionality they each control Select a specific Product Group to which the Operator will be granted access, or allow access to All Products
	View/Edit Stores drop-down	This drop-down can be used to limit the Operator's access to Product Stores' Settings in BackOffice and within SmartPOS on a Store-specific basis This will not affect the Operator's ability to sell Products from Stores; use Allowed Venues or Prerequisites for that function Select a specific Store or Store Group to which the Operator will be granted access, or allow access to All Stores
