13 | Period Summary

This article covers the process of accessing the Period Summary Report and the Reporting Options available to give an overall view of the business operations. The Period Summary Report is ideally a snapshot of either the entire Venue/s or individual Stores but can be run for a specific Store, Store Group, or for All Stores. It is a one-report overview of commonly sought-after System data.

It is a one-report overview of commonly sought-after System data.

This Report shows information from Stock Summary, Account Summary, Sales Summary, Pricing Summary, Banking Summary, Type Group Summary.

Prerequisites
  • To access Summary features, the applicable Operator Privileges   will need to be enabled 
    • Operator Maintenance 'Reporting' Tab
      • Sales Reports: "Allow Cash Reports" Flag

Accessing the Period Summary
  • Complete the following steps to access the Period Summary:
    1. Log in to BackOffice
    2. From the side menu, Select "Sales Reports" to expand the list of Available Reports
    3. Select Period Summary which will open a new Period Summary Window

Description

Venue
  • Select specific(s) Venue from the Venue Drop-down box
Store
  • Select specific store(s) of which the report will be generated
Display Period
  • The Display period can be selected using the drop-down and defining a standard Period

         


  • Or, can be selected by Shift which allows Operators to set 'From' and 'To' Data and Shift

         

View Button
  • The Default View for Period Summary is set to Standard; however, it can be changed according to the data type Operators want to see

 



Editing Report View Standard View
  • Period Summary Report will display the Standard view by default unless an Operator edits this View or adds another View
    • The Standard View consists of Stock Summary, Sales Summary, Banking Summary, Accounts Summary, Discount Totals and Product TypeGroup Sales

Stock Summary
  • The stock summary consists of all the details regarding the stock movement
  • It displays the amount of stock during the stock opening, the total monetary amount of stock that was purchased and sold and stock variance
  • This also includes monetary values for both Consumable Usage and Non-Stock Purchase Only Products that have been purchased during the Reporting period

Sales Summary
  • The sales summary displays Gross Sales and Nett Sales including all the adjustment for the given store

Banking Summary
  • The banking summary includes all the monetary transactions done via different mediums

Accounts Summary
  • Accounts Summary gives all the details of accounts including the points accumulated by these accounts

Discount Totals
  • The discount totals summarize all the details of discount given and rewards generated through the system
  • This also includes the price variance due to discounts given to the customers

Product TypeGroup Sales
  • This part includes the type of products sold and the amount generated from each group

 


Custom Views
  • The Period Summary report can be edited using the View button to suit Operator or Organizational preferences
  • The button allows the user to create a bespoke report that fits their needs and only includes the relevant required data

 

  • To change the view type, click the View button which will open up the view maintenance page

  • This page allows the operator to Add, Edit and Delete View as required
  • To Add a View, click on the Add View button which will open a window where the operator can Add the list of Items that will be displayed in the period summary
