3 | Points Redeem Percent by Store

This article explains the additional Points setup option which allows for setting a Store-level Points Redeem Percent. This Points Redeem Percent will calculate into the overall Points Redemption Rate to determine the actual Points Redemption Value at the time of Points Redemption by an Account holder.

This article explains the additional Points setup option which allows for setting a Store-level Points Redeem Percent. This Points Redeem Percent will calculate into the overall Points Redemption Rate to determine the actual Points Redemption Value at the time of Points Redemption by an Account holder.

Prerequisites

  • Minimum Bepoz version of 4.6 is required for this functionality
  • To access Store Settings, the applicable Operator Privileges   will need to be enabled 
    • Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab
      • System Setup: "Access Venue, Stores & Tills" Flag 
      • System Setup: "Maintain Venue, Stores & Tills" Flag 

Points Redeem Percent by Store

  • This configuration option, which is set on the Store-level, offers the ability to set a Percentage that affects the Points used when an Account is Redeeming Points for a purchase when utilizing the Item Use Points Till Function
  • This is the percentage that a Product's Sale Price is multiplied by to calculate the Redeem Points required to purchase a Product
    • E.g, if a Product is sold for $5 and this is set to 100%, then 5.00 Points will be Redeemed to purchase the Product using Points
  • This is by default set to 100.00%; if left alone, the Redeem Points calculation is unchanged
  • So, set this as 50% to only require 50% of the normal Points to Redeem at Tills within this Store or set as 200% to require double the normal Points, etc.
    • Alternatively, set as 0.00% to disallow Redeem by Points in the Store

Other Redeem Points Settings to Consider

  • At the Till-level , the Redeem Points flag needs to be enabled
  • Both the Operator and Account flags related to Redeem Points for Products must be enabled to allow an Operator to Redeem Points and to allow an Account's Points to be Redeemed for purchases
    • For Operators, this is the Redeem Points for Products flag
    • For Accounts, this is the Redeem Points flag
  • The Account record also has a Points Percentage that can be set for each Account
    • These Redeem Points Percentages will both factor into the Points Redeemed (one does not override another); i.e., if the Account's Redeem Points Percentage is at 200% and the Store 's Points Redeem Percent is at 50%, purchases will Redeem Points at 100%
  • Likewise, the Venue-level Points Redeem Percent  will also be calculated in to determine the actual Points Redeemed; i.e., if the Account's Redeem Points Percentage is set to 200%, the Store's Points Redeem Percent is set to 200%, and the Venue's Points Redeem Percent is set to 200%, a Product sold for $5 will Redeem 40.00 Points based on the calculation 5 x 200% x 200% x 200%
