      Printer - Orient (BTP-2002NP): Setting the correct codepage to removing the U symbol on receipts

      Overview

      When your receipt printer is printing a U instead of a $ or £ sign on the receipt please follow the below guide to set the correct code page

      Instructions:

      Please use the following steps to remove the U symbol from receipt on Orient BTP-2002NP

      1. Turn off the Printer.

      2. Turn it back on while you holding feed button.  -> Its prints self-test page but keep holding the feed button and then release it and press it once again then it will print Main Menu.

      3. Get to Option 3 – Configuration Page -> Then press feed button 3 x times and release and press it again 4th time and release then it takes you to the configuration page.

      4. Get to Option 5 – Print settings -> Press feed button 5 times and release and press it again 6 th time and release. It takes you to print settings page after that.

      5. Get to Option 7 – Code Page -> Press feed button 7 times and release and press it again 8 th time and release. Then It takes you to code page settings page after that.

      6. Set Code Page PC1252 (Option 11) ->  Press feed button 11 times and release and press it again 12th time and release. Then It comes with following message ‘The Current code page will be PC1252’

      7. Back to last menu (Option 1) - > Press feed button one Time release and press it again 2 nd time and release. It takes you to configuration page after that.

      8. Exit with saving settings (Option - 2) - > Press feed button 2 Time release and press it again 3 rd time and release. It will display following message ‘Saving Configuration’ then it prints Configuration have been saved.
