      14 | Prize Promotion Prize Types and Prize Details

      This article covers the type of Prizes that can be created awarded via Prize Promotions in Bepoz. A business can have multiple types of Promotions that award various Prizes which can help to retain customers and increase customer satisfaction. These Prizes can either have monetary value or can accumulate Points to be added to an Account. Additionally, these Prizes can have various features depending on their type which is also discussed here.

      This article covers the type of Prizes that can be created & awarded via Prize Promotions in Bepoz.

      A business can have multiple types of Promotions that award various Prizes which can help to retain customers and increase customer satisfaction. These Prizes can either have monetary value or can accumulate Points to be added to an Account. Additionally, these Prizes can have various features depending on their type which is also discussed here.

      Prerequisites

      • To access Prize promotion features, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled 
        • Marketing & Promotions Tab 
          • Promotions: "Maintain Prize Promotions" Flag

      Prize Type

      Ticket

      • This Prize Type will award a ticket when the Promotion is triggered
      • The ticket can be printed to a specific Printer, or be printed on the SmartPOS Workstation receipt and given to the customer for redemption
      • There is an option to display a message at the SmartPOS Workstation to make the Operator aware that there is a ticket
      • The printer drop-down defines which printer to print the ticket to
      • The printer format setting defines which format to use for the ticket, and the printer message defines additional text that can be printed on the ticket

              

      Points

      • This Prize Type will award points to the Account
      • The Points to award is defined in the Prize Details
      • There is an option to put a Display message at the SmartPOS Workstation to make the Operator aware that points have been awarded

              

      Account Credit

      • This Prize Type will award Account credit to the Account
      • The amount to award is defined in the Prize Details
      • There is an option to put a Display message at the SmartPOS Workstation to make the Operator aware that credit has been awarded

              

      Display Only

      • This Prize Type only displays a message at the SmartPOS workstation to make the Operator aware that the customer has won
      • This is used typically when there are instant prize giveaways

              

      Voucher

      • This Prize Type will award Vouchers when Promotion is triggered
      • The Voucher Name can be selected from the Drop-down box
      • The amount to award is defined in the Prize Details
      • There is an option to put a Display message at the SmartPOS Workstation to make the Operator aware that points have been awarded
      • The printer drop-down defines which printer to print the ticket to
      • The printer format setting defines which format to use for the ticket, and the printer message defines additional text that can be printed on the ticket

              

      Discount Limit

      • This Prize Type will award price discounts when Promotion is triggered
      • The Discounts amount to award is defined in the Discount to Add Drop-down box
      • There is an option to put a Display message at the SmartPOS Workstation to make the Operator aware that points have been awarded

              

      Point Multiplier

      • This Prize Type will multiply current points in the Account by given percentage
      • The Extra Points to award in the percentage format is defined in the Prize Details
      • There is an option to put a Display message at the SmartPOS Workstation to make the Operator aware that points have been awarded

              

      External DLL

      • This custom Prize Type can be imported from an external link
      • The amount to award is defined in the Prize Details
      • There is an option to put a Display message at the SmartPOS Workstation to make the Operator aware that points have been awarded
      • The external DLL link can be selected from the External DLL drop-down box

              

      CALink Points Qty

      • Points to Award: This sets the Number of Points to send the CALink Gaming Link to add to the Member when this Prize is awarded
        • This number is multiplied by the number of Prizes Triggered
      • CALink External ID: This is the Point Bucket ExternalID (as set in CALink) to send to CALink that determines the Point Bucket to add to
      • Do not Display Message: When enabled, no message is displayed on the Customer Display Screen
      • Display Message: Set a message to be displayed at the POS device that triggered the Price Promotion
        • If "$$" is included in the message, it will be replaced by the awarded prize (50 or $10.45 or 1 etc.)

      CALink Points Percentage

      • Extra Points to Award: This sets the Percentage multiplier that is multiplied by the number of Prizes Triggered in the Criteria box
        • These points are sent to the CALink Gaming Link to add to the Member when the Prize is awarded
      • CALink External ID: This is the Point Bucket ExternalID (as set in CALink) to send to CALink that determines the Point Bucket to add to
      • Do not Display Message: When enabled, no message is displayed on the Customer Display Screen
      • Display Message: Set a message to be displayed at the POS device that triggered the Price Promotion
        • If "$$" is included in the message, it will be replaced by the awarded prize (50 or $10.45 or 1 etc.)
