Completing a Basic Transaction

  • Once an operator logs into SmartPOS, Transactions can be processed for customers
    1. To do so, select the ordered Products by tapping on the Product button from the grid
    2. After a Product has been added to the Transaction, it will appear in the Transaction Window on the left
    3. After all desired Products have been added, the Operator can Tender the Transaction using the Payment buttons

  • Using the Cash button will Tender the Balance amount as Exact Cash
  • The $10, $20, and $50 Keys are Quick Denomination Keys which can be edited
    • These payment options and their names are fully customizable and may vary from the examples seen here
  • Tapping the Pay button will open a Payment Window allowing for various additional Payment Methods

  • After a Transaction has been Tendered, the Payment Type will display in the Transaction Window along with any Change due to the customer

  • At this point the Transaction is complete and the Operator can begin another Transaction immediately
  • If no other Transaction is started, the information from the Completed Transaction will remain in the Transaction Window for approximately 10 seconds before disappearing

No Sale Function

  • The No Sale Function button allows the Cash Drawer to be opened without Processing a Transaction

  • If an operator attempts to use the No Sale Function without the authorization to do so, the following message will appear:

  • An Operator with the No Sale Function privilege enabled who is also authorized to conduct a Manager Override can then override the message and a No Sale can be completed
  • The No Sale Function cannot be performed while a Transaction is in progress
