5 | Product Promotion Summary Data Explained

This article covers a brief overview of the data contained in the standard View of the Product Promotion Summary Report. This report generates the Gross Sales of the Product/s without any Promotion and Nett Sales after the discount, therefore allowing business to compare the profits earned.

This report generates the Gross Sales of the Product/s without any Promotion and Nett Sales after the discount, therefore allowing business to compare the profits earned.

Prerequisites 
  • To access Product Promotion Summary Features, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled 
    • Operator Maintenance 'Reporting' Tab
      • Sales Reports: "Allow Marketing Reports" Flag

"_Standard" View
  • The Standard View of the Product Promotion Summary Report consists of the following data columns by default:

 

 

Column Heading

Data Description/Formula

Units Qty Sold
  • This column displays the total number of products from the Product Promotion sold during the reporting period
Gross
  • This column displays the Gross Amount generated from the sale of promotional items
Nett
  • This column displays the Nett Amount generated from the sale of promotional items
  • Nett Sales = Gross Sales - Discount Amount
Discount Amount
  • This is the total discount amount that is given due to product promotion
Cost Total
  • This column displays the Total Cost of the Products associated with the Product Promotions
