8 | Product Qty Promotion

This article covers the 'Product Qty' Promotion Type and the Qualifying Criteria. As was noted in the Introduction to Prize Promotions article, the Promotion Type drop-down lists several options that can be chosen when configuring a Prize Promotion and each Promotion Type has different Qualifying Criteria that must be met in order for the Prize to be Awarded. The configuration options in the Qualifying Criteria section will change dynamically when a Promotion Type is selected.

As was noted in the Introduction to Prize Promotions article, the Promotion Type drop-down lists several options that can be chosen when configuring a Prize Promotion and each Promotion Type has different Qualifying Criteria that must be met in order for the Prize to be Awarded.

The configuration options in the Qualifying Criteria section will change dynamically when a Promotion Type is selected.

Prerequisites

To access Prize Promotion Features, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled:

Operator Maintenance 'Marketing & Promotions' Tab

Promotions: "Maintain Prize Promotions" Flag

Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab

General: "Operate Tills" Flag

"Product Qty" Promotion Type

This Promotion Type can be used for both Account and Non-Account Sales
This is used to Award Prizes based on the Product or Product Group purchased

Qualifying Criteria/Configuration Option	Description	Visual/s (if applicable)
Required Qty	Into this field, enter the Quantity of the Product/s that will be required to be sold to trigger Awarding of the Prize
Qtys Can Accumulateflag	If this flag is enabled, then for Accounts only the Required Quantity can be accumulated over multiple Transactions to calculate the Award If this flag is disabled, the Required Quantitycondition must be met in one (1) single Transaction
And for Every Subsequent field	This field is optional and will only be available if the Qtys can Accumulate flag is disabled In this field, enter the subsequent Quantity of the Product/s that will be required to Award additional Prizes E.g., if Required Qty is set to 2 and the And for Every Subsequent field is set to 2 then when a Transaction includes 4 of the Products configured, the Prize will be Awarded twice
Select button	Clicking on this button will open a Product List window allowing for selection of a Product or Product Group The Product or Product Group selected is linked to the Required Qty I.e., for the Prize to be Awarded, the Required Quantity of the configured Product/s must be Purchased
Size drop-down	Use this drop-down to select a Size (or Any Size) as it relates to the Product configured above This is only applicable if a single Product with multiple Sizes has been set If a Product Group is selected, this will not display Sizes and can only be set to "Any Size"
Exclude Zero-Priced flag	When this flag is enabled, if any Products that would otherwise meet the configured Qualifying Criteria have a zero-price, their Sales will be excluded from counting towards the Required Quantity needed to Award the Prize E.g., if one of the Pizzas is priced at $0.00 in the Transaction then any Sales of that particular Pizza will not be added towards the Required Quantity amount
Exclude Promo Itemsflag	When this flag is enabled, if any Products that would otherwise meet the configured Qualifying Criteria are part of another active Promotion, their Sales will be excluded from counting towards the Required Quantity needed to Award the Prize E.g., if one of the Pizzas is also part of a Product Promotion which is currently active then any Sales of that particular Pizza will not be added towards the Required Quantity amount
