      16 | Product Summaries

      This article covers Product Summaries along with different view options available. The Product Summaries Report is used to display Sales by Product. This Report can be used to show Product Sales, Cost of Sales, any Discounts applied, and Profitability at a Product or Product Group level. Different Views can be set up to display the exact information required. Charting is also available in this report.

      Prerequisites
      • To access Summary features, the applicable Operator Privileges   will need to be enabled 
        • Operator Maintenance 'Reporting' Tab
          • Sales Reports: "Allow Product Reports" Flag
      Accessing Product Summaries
      • Complete the following steps to access the Product Summaries Report
        1. Log in to BackOffice
        2. From the side menu, select "Sales Reports" to expand the list of Available Reports
        3. Select Product Summaries which will open a new Product Summaries Window
        4. Select the required Product or Product Group from the Product  tree

      Example Product Summaries Report

      Reporting Options

      • Profile:
        • Displays the specific Profile the product is related to
      • Product Totals:
        • Displays all the Products under a Product Group even if there are more Groups under it; for example, as with above all the Products under the group "Pizzas" are displayed
      • Display Sizes:
        • Will display the Sales of all the different Sizes of a Product
      • Include All:
        • Will display all the Products highlighted under the group even if there have been zero sales
      • Additional configuration options in the Header can also be used to generate more specific report data
      Standard View
      • The Product Summaries Report has a few special fields for Product Information
      • The Product Summaries _Standard View contains the following fields
      • Additional Views can be added & edited as needed
       

      Column

      Description
      Qty Units Sold
      • This is the total quantity of product sold
      NettTotal
      • This is the net amount generated by selling the product
      % of NettTotal
      • This shows the percentage of the total amount generated by selling the specific product under the given group
      • E.g., In the Report, Margherita Pizza generated 14.29% out of all the four types of pizza
      CostEx of Sales
      • This shows the amount generated that is tax exclusive
      Profit Amt
      • This shows the total profit generated by selling the product
      Profit%
      • This shows the Profit percentage generated by selling the product

       

      Product Summary Detail
      • More detailed information on individual Products is accessible by double-clicking on the designated Product

      Reporting Options

      • Size
        • Sets the size of the product for which the data is displayed
      • View
        • The default view set for this report is set as _Standard however, operators can create and edit more views depending on their preferences
