      5 | Receiving & Transferring Stock When In Stocktake

      This article discusses the workflow and options of Receiving Stock via Purchase Orders, Manual Receipts, and Transfer when a Store is currently In Stocktake. There may be times when it is necessary to Receive Stock while a Stocktake is being conducted; t his may be in the form of: Receiving a Purchase Order, Entering a Manual Receipt, or Processing a Stock Transfer.

      This article discusses the workflow and options of Receiving Stock via Purchase Orders, Manual Receipts, and Transfer when a Store is currently In Stocktake.

      There may be times when it is necessary to Receive Stock while a Stocktake is being conducted; this may be in the form of: Receiving a Purchase Order, Entering a Manual Receipt, or Processing a Stock Transfer.

      When this occurs, you can decide whether to apply the Stock adjustment before or after the start of the Stocktake.

      Receiving Purchase Orders & Manual Receipts

      • When attempting to Receive a Purchase Order or a Manual Receipt from BackOffice to a Store that is In Stocktake, a message prompt will appear similar to below:

              

      • If BEFORE is selected, the Stock will be applied to the Shift & Date immediately prior to when the Stocktake was started
        • This will adjust the Starting Quantity On Hand and the Starting Cost On Hand of the Stocktake for any Products being Received
      • If AFTER is selected, the Stock will not be applied until after the Stocktake has been finalised and a Stock Transaction is passed through SmartController

      Posting Stock Transfers

      • When attempting to Transfer Stock via BackOffice to or from a Store that is In Stocktake, a message prompt will appear similar to below:

              

      • If BEFORE is selected, the Transfer will be applied to the Shift & Date immediately prior to when the Stocktake was started
        • This will adjust the Starting Quantity On Hand and the Starting Cost On Hand of the Stocktake for any Products being Transferred
      • If AFTER is selected, the Transfer will not be applied until after the Stocktake has been finalised and a Stock Transaction is passed through SmartController
