4 | "Share Items" Function

This article covers the "Share Items" Till Function and how it is used within SmartPOS. This Function allows the Quantity and the Amount of a Product to be evenly shared among desired Splits. Items within a Bill can either be shared Individually or ALL.

This Function allows the Quantity and the Amount of a Product to be evenly shared among desired Splits. Items within a Bill can either be shared Individually or ALL.

Prerequisites 

• To access Share Items Features, the applicable Operator Privileges   will need to be enabled 
• Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
  
• General: "Operate Tills" Flag
• Tables: "Table Sales" Flag
• Venue Maintenance "Flags" Tab
• Table Groups: "Ask Seat" Flag
• Table Groups: "Ask #Guests" Flag 
• Table Groups: "Ask Splits as Guests" Flag

Sharing Individual Item/s 

• Here we have a Table that's been split into six (6) Splits with a Product valued at $50.00 on the Master Bill

• There are a total of 6 Splits in this example and in order to share it amongst them: 
• Highlight the desired Product to be shared amongst the Splits 
• Press the Share Items Till Function
  

• Upon selecting the Share Items Till Function, the Operator will then be prompted to select the Splits to Share to

• The Product will then be shared evenly between the selected Splits
  
• Products can be unshared by selecting the Shared product in the Split Window and Tapping back to the Master Bill Window 

Sharing ALL Items

• In the following example, there are multiple items on a Master Bill and three (3) Splits

• In order to Share the Entire Bill, simply select the Share Items Till Function Key
  

• The Operator will then be prompted to Share All Unpaid Products; select Yes
  

• The Operator will be then be prompted to select which Splits to Share the Products to
  

• Products will then be shared evenly amongst the selected Splits
