      SmartPOS is failing to load Local Database, or No Local Database found

      Overview

      Problem / Symptoms:

      If you ever get an error that says can't load into Local Database on SmartPOS 

      It is most likely that SQL Compact CE is not installed on the SmartPOS Terminal / POS 

      Diagnosis:

      Solution / resolution:

      • Download Load SQL CE 3.5

      • If it's a 32 bit OS then you only need to install the x86 Installer 

      • If it's a 64 bit OS then you need to install the x86 and x64 bit intaller you have to install the x86 installer first. 

      • Once installed restart SmartPOS

      • Ensure a localdatabase is sent to the POS via Smartcontroller 

      • Test Offline/Standalone Mode.
