3 | SmartRetail Interface Print Features

This article covers the supported Print Features of the Smart Retail Interface in SmartPOS. SmartRetail Print options can be triggered in SmartPOS by first configuring a Till Function button on a Till Function Map. Once the Backoffice Setup is completed, Operators can move on to setting up this function so that it can be accessed in SmartPOS.

SmartRetail Print options can be triggered in SmartPOS by first configuring a Till Function button on a Till Function Map. Once the  Backoffice Setup  is completed, Operators can move on to setting up this function so that it can be accessed in  SmartPOS.

Prerequisites

  • To access SmartRetail Loyalty features, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled 
    • Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab
      • System Setup: "Access Venue, Stores & Tills" Flag
      • System Setup: "Maintain Venue, Stores & Tills" Flag
      • System Setup: "Maintain Till Function Maps" Flag

SmartRetail Print Features

  • Configure a  Till Function  button on an accessible Function Map & Panel using the "Print" Function & "Print Receipt" Sub-Function
  • Ensure that "SmartRetail" in entered into the Key field

  • After pressing this Till Function button in SmartPOS, a small window will open offering a selection of SmartRetail Print Function options
  • Some of these options are only relevant when a SmartRetail Card is inserted with a Member Account linked while some can only be used while a Card is not inserted
    • The Card Balance option is only available to print when a Member Account Card is slotted in and the Transaction is not Finalized / Closed
    • The Sales Receipt option is only available to print when a Member Account Card is slotted in and the Transaction is not Finalized / Closed
    • The remainder of the SmartRetail Print options are only available to Print when a Member Account Card is not slotted in
