Snapshots 4.6.X Setup

Overview

How to Configure and Snapshots for Bepoz 4.6X and above.​​​​​​​

Prerequisites​​​​​​​

  • Need to setup a static public IP address from the ISP and setup router to forward traffic from this IP address and point back to the Bepoz server.

  • To get the public IP address for the venue, you can run what is my IP in Google search or click here.

  • Avoid using the common ports like 80, 8080, 25, etc. when selecting TCP port to use.

  • You can test and run open port check tool: http://www.canyouseeme.org to check and see if the selected port is already accessible.

Snapshot 4.6.x Setup

  • The first step to configuring Snapshot will be to navigate to BEPOZ CMP

  • Once you have located the client via the SystemID or Customer Name 

  • You have to navigate to the Online Tab

With the Online Tab you will have the following options 

  1. The Public IP address of the Site (Router IP address)

  2. Port - Specified Port that Snapshot will communicate on  

  3. Online Apps - Authorisation - Number of Snapshot users required. 

  • Enter the IP address and Port and click Apply

  • This will generate the 'Secret' and the 'Client ID'

  • Next Click on the Authorisations Button 

  • Select Snapshots from the dropdown list 

  • Select the number of users for i.e. 1-5

Now navigate back to Backoffice -> Venue Stores and Tills -> Global Settings -> Cloud Tab and select the Receive button

The  'Secret' and the 'Client ID' should auto populate with the correct keys, along with the port number and the Available Snapshot License - Click OK

The next step is to assign a Bepoz Operator Snapshot access privileges 

To do this you need to navigate to Maintenance -> Operators 

Select the Operator from the Operator List and double click to edit the operator 

Within the General Tab you need to specify and Email 1: Address and Click OK

Then reopen the operator edit view again. 

Now navigate to the Online Apps Tab 

  • Enable Snapshots 

  • Send Welcome Email 

  • Then Click OK

The client will now recieve an email with the details required to login to Snapshots Mobile and Web applications 

  • UserName = Email Address

  • CAN = SystemID

  • Password = Password Set in Backoffice 

Last step is to ensure that you Restart the Smartcontroller and always ensure that Smartcontroller runs in Administration Mode. this is to ensure that the Web API job starts

Now you can navigate to the following URL for the Web Application or Login via the Bepoz Snapshots V2 application via Google Play or iOS
